That's why this year is considered a weak draft. Tier 2 doesn't technically exist.

Mike, would you agree that Ja is a better prospect than Collin Sexton, last year's #8 pick? To me he is.

Yes. I'd have Ja as the #8 guy.

Sexton has been absolutely balling to end the year. In the last few months, he is shooting nearly 45% from 3 on 5.6 attempts per game.

Yup, I thought he was a great pick for Cleveland. Felt he could handle being a part of a franchise starting from the bottom while still improving his own game.

yah if Zion doesnt go 1st it would be the biggest mistake a franchise has ever done. although BArrett looks good he just doesnt have the promise Zion has. literally i think its the next coming of LEbron just by his freakish athletism. also very efficent on offense. shotting like 70% in the ACC tourney

Tacko doesn't look that bad to me... if he played with people who were better ball handlers and passers, it seems like he could score at will.

Just kind of glacial on defense.

Tacko Fall with 13 Points, 18 Rebounds and 5 Blocks!

I am mildly interested to see how Zion and Duke deal with Tacko this weekend.

I think he would have been a solid player in the 90s

He's kind of weak... but you figure since he's already 310 pounds... well proportioned... if he doesn't have feet problems, he could become really good with a conditioning program.

So we are probably taking him with our lottery pick.

I have always been very high on Sexton, but Morant to me will be even better right from the gate and continue to strive from there too. I think JA would be a top 5 pick in my book last year. This year at #2!

Yeah Coby is very much in my top 5. I see him as becoming a top flight scorer in the league potentially, along the lines of Arenas

Particularly low on Reddish, the step up to college just hasn’t translated and it’s harder to make the jump to the NBA. Barrett doesn’t particularly enthuse me as a top 3 guy, either. Zion and Ja are really the only two I see with superstar potential (with Zion more likely to be able to lead a winning team)

1: Zion Williamson
2: Ja Morant
3: Darius Garland
4: Coby White
5: De’Andre Hunter
6: RJ Barrett
7: Brandon Clarke
8: Jarrett Culver
9: Jontay Porter
10: NAW
11: Jaxson Hayes
12: Kevin Porter Jr
13: Grant Williams
14: Cam Reddish

been scouting more footage of Hunter... while he is clearly not meant to be a #1 or even #2 option on offense he is going thrive big time as a glue guy on a team that already has those offensive weapons set (like the Lakers) where he can focus his energy off the ball and on defense.
He has a good first step to blow right by a defender squaring him up which will allow him to feast on defenders running to close out on him off a kickout. Plus hes pretty good at finishing in traffic after contact. And if his college measurements are accurate (he also looks very lanky in footage) he has prototypical NBA length with a 7'2 wingspan (2 inches longer than Lebron, 1 inch shorter than Giannis)

Sexton reminds me a bit of a young Kemba. A flat out scorer. He's way ahead of Kemba at this stage too with his ability to hit 3's and finish. Hopefully for their sake they can do a better job than Charlotte to surround him with talent. He obviously has a really good work ethic and motor too. Last year's draft was obviously so deep this kid was picked #8.

I would also rank Morant slightly higher coming out due to his athletic ability and his assist numbers in college though. My guess in last year's draft he would've been selected directly after Trae Young by Orlando who had the 6th pick tbh.

Lonzo has missed 30+ games for two years straight. We absolutely cannot rely on him next year and we better sign a more dependable PG (i.e. Kemba), use a lottery pick on one, or use the RE or other vet min deals to get someone who can reliably fill in.

I'm not sure if it's a thing but his rigid stance makes me think he's more injury prone. Maybe do some yoga bro.

Same.

I don’t know where Thybulle’s range is but he was really good against Utah State. He has a big impact on flow of game...sample size, but he looked good too.

Good to see Coby on the rise on this board.

Hopefully management has him up for serious consideration as well.

Considering Fernando's length... he doesn't seem to have much explosiveness... Zero blocks... especially on the last play where he couldn't do anything to stop the drive.

No doubt.

Cannot depend on injury prone Lonzo.

If we somehow end up with RJ Barrett does that make Ingram expendable?seems like they both bring the same thing to the table.
