He'd give up more than he'd score. We already have a guy like that on the roster playing the same position - Kuzma.

A 7'3 Kuzma with a 7'8 wingspan is a great get for the 4th pick. Except Bol has shown good timing for blocking shots and has better court vision than Kuz

And won’t be able to make a shot within 15 feet, and can’t get much separation offf the dribble on the perimeter , and doesn’t do well with contests

Every player in this draft has multiple weaknesses that can be picked on as well. Bol can improve all of those things. What he has already combined with his size and length are worth gambling on around picks 8-12 in this draft.

Quote:
7’3 with a 9’8 standing reach, Bol is an excellent rim protector but what really makes him stand out is his perimeter skill set. He is one of the best shooters in the class at 7’3! There are questions about his mental make up and frame but even if he isn’t a superstar Bol should be a valuable player as long as he stays healthy.

Health is my only reason for not taking him top 5

Health and post defense...and perimeter defense...and health again...

Nah. Those are easily improvable things especially with increased strength that will naturally come with age and working with NBA trainers.

Health is the only real concern with Bol

Suuuure...BIGs with foot injuries and freakish measurements (not in a good way) have not had a good track record in the NBA...

Agreed. Health is the only real concern. Embiid gives me hope though.

Based on his Dad's durability and a number of notable players that have recovered from the same foot injury (including Michael Jordan and Marc Gasol), I think Bol's health will be fine.

@Schultz_Report

UCF center Tacko Fall has an upcoming workout for the #Lakers, a source tells ESPN. The 7-6 Fall averaged 11 PPG and 8 RPG, while also ranking in the top 10 nationally with his 2.6 blocks. Fall broke the all-time NCAA FG percentage record as well.

So last minute of the game. Lakers winning and opponent is at 98 points.
What do the Lakers fans start chanting?

Yes. He was a top 10 defender in CBB at worst ; many say top 3-5

Interesting.
How would you rank his interior defense?
And how would you rank his perimeter defense?

Like..

9/10

7/10

He's outstanding.

Just making some humor out of some ridiculous things I've been reading.

I can't believe someone believed it.

So long as we don't overpay, and yes, everything rumored at the deadline was a gross overpay.

That godfather offer was a disgrace. I'm glad Magic is gone so as to not make a stupid trade offer like that again....let's just hope Pelinka isn't as stupid as Magic was.

So Golbert on the inside.
And Julius Randle on the perimeter?

Different. Difficult to be Gobert without those kinds of physical tools.

But, verticality, team rotation, switchability. Challenging shots at the rim is different from outright shot blocks.

He hasn't played yet, but could be a better perimeter than Julius Randle.

Embiid has a strong frame. Bol? His body is going to get wrecked by big men and he can’t guard anyone on the perimeter. If I have a later first I might gamble. Not with a top 5 pick.
