Mid 2nd to UDFA list: Miye Oni, Lindell Wigginton, Weiler-Babb, Jared Harper, Tremont Waters, John Konchar, Cody Martin, Terance Mann, Ky Bowman, Wright-Foreman, Kerwin Roach, Marial Shayok, Zylan Cheatham, Cassius Winston, Kouat Noi, Dean Wade, Phil Booth.

Do you believe Okeke still goes in 1st with his injury?

2nd to UDFA prefer shooters and/or athletes.

Dylan Windler, Mike Daum, Robert Franks, Konchar - all high quality shooters, college seniors with limited athleticism.

Admiral Schofield, DaQuan Jeffries - wow athletes who can shoot some.

Jaylen Hands, Jalen Lecque - wow athletes in a smaller package, younger developmental prospects

Wanted international Dino Radoncic as a draft and stash but he withdrew.

Yes I would expect Okeke in the 1st round. If I was a GM and didn't have to rely on Okeke's rookie production, I might have him lottery.

I tried to list guys that just flat out wouldn't get drafted or didn't get much draft hype after the combine. There's a lot to like, a solid 2-5 guys that are intriguing, even after the 60 picks.

I think Miye boosted his stock with his combine.. he had a red hot game from 3 and looked like a specimen physically outside the scrimmage.
Konchar would be a big acquisition. If he's available in the 50s and we don't trade for him... I'm going to so terribly disappointed

Same. Unlike most people I think he has real upside.

Can we even draft 2nd rounders? Or does that mess with the cap and possible FA signings?

yes, there is no cap hold for 2nd Round picks and the money they are paid for SL and training camp does not count against the cap....they are just signed after everything else is complete.

Then we need to buy a few and sign many undrafted players. Probably why we were working out so many centers that look like they will NOT be drafted.

Cody and Caleb Martin, Daquan Jeffries, Marial Shayok are my targets for undrafted free agents. IMO.

Tell me about it. Thats a EASY throw in if you make the Pelicans add if you already making this ridiculous godfather package. They don’t even need a 2nd rounder after taking on our players and draft picks.

I was not high on him out of college. Thought he was an intangibles/leader type of player. Never expected him to succeed as he has.

He is one of the reasons I feel Cassius Winston can play in the NBA. I see Mike has Cassius listed in his post above but I thought he was returning to college.

Edit: what about Kyle Guy?

I'm not a Jerome guy, but I put a lot of stock into Shamet not being a great prospect last year because of how terrible he looked during the pre-draft process. Maybe something to think about.

We need to do everything we can to acquire a early second round or late first round pick.

We NEED to get Carsen Edwards. He will fit next to LBJ and AD perfectly

Adding to this point, I really do think we’re in the market for an early second round pick. From what I remember, 2nd round picks are not guaranteed contracts and so won’t affect our salary cap situation as we head into free agency.

I really do expect the lakers to acquire an early second round pick. Maybe from a team like the 76ers. Good talent to be had in that early second round

Do you mean buy a 2nd round pick? Or trade Wagner or Bonga for a 2nd?

Either one works for me. Not sure what the cap rules are for buying a pick though

Let's get this into motion. Buy the #54 from Philly. They already 4 2nd rounders this year.

Could zion turn NO into the Cavs like when LeBron went there?? Last time. #1 pick had a major impact like viewership, increase in fanbase, excitement on a severely down franchise was Blake to clippers

Who wants the bet Pelicans are top 3 in nationally televised games this year.

You gotta wait till FA is over.
Depending on where guys like the big Ks and Jimmy Butler go, you never know.

Number 1 is no doubt the Lakers.
So the Pels who will no doubt be losing games would have to beat out some big market teams that might get a FA, i.e. Nets/Clippers/Knicks

I think Winston has a better chance to make it. I'm out on Kyle Guy.
