Most people don't watch all the games. With a larger selection, more people will be able to find a game that actually want to see.
I always loved that event when the Clippers were "Lob City" they still could only get the last game of the night and it was usually against Utah or something. Or maybe I'm thinking of Thanksgiving?
I confuse those games as well. I Was lamenting of XMAS day game record (we below .500) and talking about the time Rose beat us late and my buddy said wanst that Thanksgiving?
BTW were 18-12 on Xmas before 2003 we are now like 21-22 we have been really horrible on XMAS. Glad we are a prime-time holiday team but I have had a few XMas days ruined for a few hours because of our losing. I used to take L's really hard prefer we did not play them.
Very few Thanksgiving games.
The league tried one in 2005, when we played Seattle, and beat them, as I recall.
I remember Barkley complaining a lot on the set. "Zero + Zero = Zero".
He didn't like the match-up.
Rose beat us on Christmas, which was also opening day, due to the lock-out.
In fact, that was a very exciting opening day - basketball was back, and the league unveiled this great commercial . . .
LeBron James and the Lakers open their season on October 18 on the road against the Blazers, per league sources.
Wow I don’t ever recall the Lakers opening there season on the road, playing @ Portland will be a challenge especially considering our struggles against them in recent years.

That really shocks me that they are opening up on the road. I thought for sure they would open up at home. So I bet the home opener will be the next night on that Friday and be televised by ESPN. Maybe ESPN wanted to televise their home opener and that's why they are starting out on the road.

I think it's a lot of games if you're actively watching.
However, if you just have the TV on to catch glimpses of the games that you don't care about while taking care of other activities, it's not a big deal.
Then when the Lakers play, I sit down and watch attentively.
Should have been bacing Foston on MLK day. We've got to GSW 2 more times in a season after that. _________________
