It's different, he's on our team now

In all seriousness, it wasn't that he possibly couldn't win in the west, it was that he basically gets the first two rounds as exhibition games compared to the competition 1-9 seeds out west.

Well, he did win in the West when he had a loaded team like Miami. This Lakers team is comparable to that so we should expect similar results.

He has never played in the West until this season.

They're gonna make the playoffs. They may even get out of the 1st round. A ship, I DON'T THINK SO.

That’s what they said about the Cavs, they kept underestimating LeBron then he switched into Beast Mode.

Exactemundo.... I think if anyone else represented the west last year in the championship other than Golden State Lebron would have beat that team in a series! Hou... Utah... OKC... all of them would have lost last year to Bron. The surrounding pieces here will prove to be exponentially better than the ones he played with last year. Thats why I really like our chances!

Only if GS has key injuries

we’re not that far from a chip now, assuming we have no significant injuries on our side. Still think the young guns development is the difference between a good and great team.

Agree, Lakers are going to be the 2018-2019 World Champions.

Thanks for reminding all of us.

False exaggerated hyperbole.

What WAS said was that the West has been the FAR superior conference for the past 20 years or so and that if LeBron played in the West he wouldn't have as much of a cakewalk to the Finals as he's had in the East. This is backed up by the fact that he has a losing record (3-6) in the Finals against said Western Conference teams even though he always steamrolls his way through the East.

I don't think anybody ever said that he would NEVER make it out of the West. Just that it would be exponentially harder than coming out of the East.

Heck, sometimes all THREE rounds.

This last postseason his Conference Finals opponent was a Celtics team without its two best/star players (Kyrie and Hayward).

And he probably faced a total of one future HOF in his prime in his first three rounds combined (DeRozan. Tatum might be future HOF but he was a rookie.

The the Lakers win the championship this year Lebron is getting my vote for GOAT. I think they have a solid chance to be a 50 win team that can win a first round playoff series if they have home court.

I think we have a legitimate chance to win it all. We are going to be an opposing teams worst nightmare as we will present match up problems like teams have never seen. Our team is deeper than any team in the league and we have versatile scorers to boot. Our pg's are going to dictate tempo and there will potentially be no letdown on the throttle.

On a side note, some on this board took numerous shots at Magic (and Rob). These guys have been nothing short of incredible and I say . I would love to say something else, but I will refrain.

Dubs look lethal...Their starting 5 may put the games out of reach to not make bench even matter...
