From Lakers MR: LeBron James was evaluated by team medical staff and physicians today. James, who will not travel with the team on the upcoming two-game road trip, has been cleared to return to practice commencing next week, and progress towards a return to game play thereafter.

The Lakers will be without LeBron for games in OKC and Houston but he could potentially return in time for Monday’s game at Staples Center against Golden State.
The Lakers’ next game after that is a week from Thursday at home against Minnesota.

YEP. WE KNOW ALL TOO WELL - MORE LEBRON PER TRUDELL
Thursday’s game at OKC and Saturday’s at HOU will be the 12th and 13th games without James (and Rondo) for the Lakers. They’re 4-7 in that time period overall, and 4-4 when Kyle Kuzma played the entire game (he missed 2nd half vs OKC, + full games vs NYK and at MIN).

I'm most excited to see Rondo play again. With injures and suspensions he's been in and out of the line up all year, and while he has been playing good he needs more time to build chemistry with the starting lineup. |

When I asked when Rondo was expected to return, Bill Oram gave this reply.

Here’s the snippet from the Athletic (I’m a paid subscriber) Oram is referring to.
“We’re both antsy to get back,” Rondo told The Athletic. I’m actually trying to beat him back, so, but like I said patience is key. … “Hopefully I’ll be back before Black History Month (which is February). Think that’s about five weeks for me.”
So not anything really conclusive at this point.... |
