Noah has nothing left, he is literally a walking shell.
The only reason you'd sign him is to say that Joakim Noah once wore a Lakers jersey and little else. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Nothing I despise more than “name player” signings. Williams is a better option than Noah imo. |

According to https://www.si.com/nba/2018/10/13/knicks-waive-joakim-noah-still-owe-38-million-former-bulls-center
Quote: | Don't expect to see Noah on another NBA roster anytime soon. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Saturday that Noah has "no traction on an open roster spot elsewhere in NBA", adding that former head coach Tom Thibodeau has "no interest" in bringing Noah to Minnesota |
The Knicks owe Noah over $38 million. This was a worse signing than Deng. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

I read that teams can start negotiating on a contract with Noah by early next week, obviously that article seems to dramatize for no reason, a lot of teams need a big man right now so something will be in the next few days with the season opener next week. |

Assuming his background checks out (what people around the league think of him), I don't see why we wouldn't bring him in for a work out at least... I mean its not like we have much at back up center right now, and who knows when Wagner will be back. |

There are dozens of better options than Jokim Noah. At least. |

No. Tired of old injured retreads. Think of Bogut.
Also outspoken which is not needed with the current makeup of the team. |

Phil set the Center market, giving Noah that deal seemingly before free agency started. From there Mitch gave Moz his deal which was 'market'. Then we signed Deng way above his market. |

Knicks fans are mad, and I’d be too. Pelinka and Magic were able to shave 7.5m from Deng, but the Knicks have to pay Noah in full... 🤣 |

On paper, if he has anything left he''s an easy fit short term. If he can still move he has the defensive IQ, capable Passer and can board.
It sounds cold, but you could cut him if a better big man becomes available after mid season buyouts. He may see this a's well though, a lot of theoretics but comes down to if he can play. |

Yes, let's sign more guys that butt heads with LeBron! It worked with Kobe signing Metta and Barnes. |

How do you know this? Did you read an article that he's physically incapable of playing anymore? |

History. He has been injury prone since his Bull's days and I believe they were serious in nature.
It's like Laker fans believing Deng can't play anymore. Maybe not figuratively but basketball wise they are unable to perform on the court at a level to be effective in the NBA. |

Tyler Zeller cut by the Bucks. More of an offensive option than a good defensive big, but he might be worth a look. _________________ Under New Management |

If LA wanted big depth, Tyler Zeller was just waived. They could make a waiver claim (10th in line) via the minimum player exception. His deal doesn't guarantee until January 10th, so they could easily open up room if they get to that point and think they will get someone in the buyout market.
Zeller was on the Cavs as a rookie when Walton was on the roster. |

Cole Aldrich. |
Have seen you suggesting Aldrich for a couple days now, curious as to why.
Have you heard seen something to think the Lakers have interest or simply best available from list of free agent centers posted?
Aldrich may be a somewhat reliable vet but uninspiring IMO. He seems more suited to an overseas contract then an NBA role. Sadly, very indicative f the Lakers current C situation that he is even considered an upgrade.
Too bad Wagner has been injured. Would have liked to see him make an attempt at mpg. Not a perfect solution but an intriguing one. Anyone seen any updates on Wagner's health? Any hope he returns for the opener or early part of the season? Maybe his youthful enthusiasm can overcome his inexperience and limitations.
I'm open to any suggestion for improvement at center. It's a weakness that needs to be addressed sooner then later IMO. |
We just need a guy that's physical, grabs boards, and preferably swats. That's someone like Pachulia.
Except it was just 2 years ago where Aldrich had a 2-3 year stint of a 25%-30% defensive rebounding rate (critical for transition play), floated near 20% total rebounding (so that's like averaging 14rpg in 36), and fairly absurd steal rates and block rates (basically like 1.2stlpg + 2.5bpg) in 36 minutes.
I can't find health/injury issues. He doesn't have great hands so he's a bit turnover prone. His shot at the FT line is Jamaal Wilkes level, but he capable of around 70%.
For 10 minutes a game? This looks pretty easy, unless someone else gets waived, which is what I'm waiting on with other teams making roster cuts. Either this, or I'm waiting for Derrickson from GSW to get waived, but even he's an undersized 4/5 and a rookie, but he boxes out and bombs 3s. |
This guy. Been wanting him since summer league as a development prospect. Problem he signed a 2 way contract. |

Another Celtic reject. Oh No.
Joking aside he is a nice vet to have. He just provides no rim protection. |

Min deal that doesn't guarantee unti Jan 10. Walton played with him n Cleveland so he knows a little about the person.
Could be as low risk a move as there is possible. Would probably crush what little confidence Zu has left at this point though. |

I have no agenda as far as Noah goes... but I wondered if people knew for a fact that he could no longer play due to specific injuries.
We desperately need interior defense... the Noah from two years ago put up decent numbers playing part time. I was just curious if something specific happened to him, or if people are just guessing about his health. |
