that toothpick will help our rebounding

I was thinking of having a younger, cost-controlled version of McGee.

Robert Williams being nicknamed "Time Lord" isn't necessarily a good thing, I don't think.

He's in the right place for his development. Robinson is also a bit of a kooky kid, but I bet he would've been just as well off developing in El Segundo as he will be in Westchester.

Right or wrong blame Magic for not having Robinson. Pelinka made it a point in the after draft press conference to state Wagner was Magic's pick.

It felt every bit of "draft by need." Get a guy that can shoot, but is actually vocal. Get a project player. Get a shooter. None of these things indicate BPA or Best Talent Available necessarily. I can especially vouch for Mykhailiuk at his pick at BPA. The other two, I'm not sure.

Hopefully he's gotten better at evaluating big man talent since his vocal Twitter support of Jahlil Okafor.

Right. Draft for BPA; free agency for fit.

Very few here wanted Robinson at draft time outisde of myself Adkindo and a couple others. I sense in crying over spilled milk now. Mo showed some good skills IMO, and a good amount of translatable abilities. Give some time. I’d have MUCH rather preferred Robinson and would have taken him 10/10 times but we didn’t so let’s apprrviate that we did at least get a Big with talent and upside.

I really wanted Alex Len this off-season as a backup big, but many posters on LG kept saying he was trash. His numbers tonight:

16 pts, 11 rbds, 4 blks, and 4 asts in 32 minutes. He was a +19 overall.

Remind me again why we didn't pick him up?

Because he was trash for his entire career in Phoenix?

Hindsight. The FO chose to go in other directions. Just hasn't worked out so far. But I agree. He would have been a nice addition to the roster for 20 mins per night.

Likely because he wanted more then one year and doesn't fit the max free agent plan for next year.

Also include higher expectations for Zubac and a long shot possibility that a healthy Wagner can consistently. contribute. Keep your fingers crossed!

I may have posted about this but IMO this is the biggest Magic / Pelinka blunder. They should have signed Randle to the same deal he got in NO. Randle signed in NO because the second year of his deal is his option...Lakers wanted it to be their option. Randle without a doubt is going to opt out...He's making $9 million a year...He will easily make between $12-14 million a year after this season if he opts out. He's well under paid.

The Lakers should have given him the same deal because he would've opted out here too, thus we would have had the space for a max guy. The FO will say, "What if he would have opted in?" So what...you don't think we could trade Randle at $9 million a year with one year left? Of course you could.

It's all for not now...so I know don't look back. I still believe in this team, but man Randle would have been huge on this team in our most needed position. Last time I'm talking about this..In fact can someone help me change my user name...I can't figure it out. Thanks

I said this in the off season, were gonna get destroyed by teams with legit bigs. Tonight was a prime example.
3 of our bigs couldnt handle LA, imagine what AD, healthy Boogie, Nurkic, Jokic, Gobert and others are gonna do to us in the painted area.

We should make a trade for Vucevic. Magic have Bamba now.

I called for that too or resigning BLo or signing Monroe.
McGee by himself cant be our only big.
Brandon Wright is still out there, he’d be a better backup than Zu TBH.

Lopez really would have been perfect for this team. It was a major blunder for the FO to sign Beasley instead of Lopez. We are probably 3-0 with Lopez on this roster.
