This is embarrassing.

I think every one of those will go up as the guys get settled and line ups tighten up. As long as we keep finishing with defensive minded players we will keep winning.

so what?? so our 3point shooters aren't the highest percentage in the league. Would you rather have our 3pt% be very high and NOT be 10-2?? Maybe we can be like the Pistons and be 4-9 with great 3pt% looooll!!

Also, check your expectations. I heard a lot expecting our KCP or green type guys to hit like 45% 3pt. I'm like, you realize if someone did that, they would be like the greatest 3pt shooter of all time. so be realistic here.

The 3pt shooting might not be so critical to get wins against most teams but in the playoffs if the 3pt shooting doesn't improve a championship is not going to happen.

I would not expect 45% from anyone. I would expect guys to shoot a little better that their career averages because they have Lebron and AD to draw double teams. Only Danny Green is doing it. Bradley, Caruso, Daniels and Cook are all way off their averages. That's a ton of points left on the table. If these guys just shoot their averages there is a great chance at a championship. They need to work on their ball movement to the open man when AD is doubled which well help the numbers.

Career averages / (current percentage):

Green 40% (41%) +1%
Cook 41% (33%) -8%
Daniels 40% (31%) -9%
Kuzma 33% (30%) -3%
Pope 34% (30%) -4%
Bradley 36% (28%) -8%
Caruso 37% (26%) -11%

LeBron sure knows how to make his teammates better Lol.
Just kidding LG. It’s not his fault they’re bricking. It’s just annoying knowing that if they happened to be hitting that’s what the talking heads would say, that when you play with LeBron you magically become a better player.

Read an article that said this:

"Lakers are 28th in the three-point rate and 25th in three-point shooting percentage...25th in free throw rate— this is like the bizarro Rockets: low threes, low free throws, elite defense."

Pretty terrible. How can we improve on this while maintaining our elite defense?

Difficult to maybe impossible to maintain the defense while making a huge improvement in the three point shooting and free throw shooting.

The minutes for McGee and Dwight would need to be reduced so Davis could spend more time at Center and open more minutes for shooters.

OUR 3pt% may not be great 'cause we put in a lot of effort chasing guys on D. Like, when we hit 40% of the 3s like against OKC our defensive effort was wailing on and off the whole time vs earlier this season when we max out the defensive effort all game long (any of our low pt games) and we could not hit (bleep). just my opinion though.

We've hit 40% from 3 in 4 of the last 5 games. I think it's just a matter of rounding into game shape. Hopefully that trend can continue.

Already went up from 25th in the league to 18th in the league in just a few games. I think it's mostly due to Kuz, AD, and KCP starting to find their 3-point touch after slow starts.

30th should actually be 1st, (Half empty/half full) this is how it was listed on nba.com. I guess it depends on your perspective.

This might be the best Lakers team since the 80's. I can't think of many teams in the league that can even give them a challenge.

I'm doubling down on this.

Superstars.
Depth.
Best defense in the league.
Can also be the best offensive team as whenever they feel like it.
Elite three point shooting.
Elite shotblocking.
Elite clutch play.
Elite rebounding.
Elite passing.

And to top it off, there aren't many teams out there that look tough this year.

The only reason any of these games are even close is because the Lakers seem to get bored.

I must say that even though we are winning the Lakers have looked a bit shaky against some teams we should be beating more handily. Im hoping its just a matter of us playing down to the competition.

It's nice to see the offense come around.
But I don't like the defense slipping.

Looking forward to the stretch of games where we put everything together on both ends of the court.
