DBPM:

McGee (2.4)
Lebron (.5)
Hart (-.7)
Williams (-.8)
Lance (-1.0)
Ball (-1.2)
Ingram (-1.8)
Svi (-2.3)
Rondo (-2.7)
KCP (-3.2)
Kuzma (-4.0)
Beas (-7.2) (lmfao)

VORP:
Bron (.5)
McGee (.3)
Lance, Hart, Ball (.1)
Williams, Rondo, Ingram (0)
Kuzma, Beas, Svi (-.1)
KCP (-.2)

PER
Bron (27.3)
McGee (24.9)
Lance (19.9)
Rondo (17.6)
Ingram (17.3)
Kuzma (15.5)
Lonzo (13.0)
Williams (12.9)
Hart (12.5)
KCP (5.1) (lmfaoooo)
Micheal Beasley (-5.1) (LMFAO)

and also, I just wanna add that Beas is sitting at a -22.7 DBM. Him and KCP are really doing some damage lmfao.

Also, I think it's (bleep) hilarious that we have posters talking about Ingram getting less minutes due to one type of advanced stats while ignoring all others where Ingram is right about in the middle.

If you want to lower BI's minutes over his advanced stats from 3 games, you gotta keep the same energy and get rid of half the rotation.

Here are the latest advanced stats.

The defensive numbers for the kids (as measured by BPM) are just awful. It will be interesting to see how this compares to RPM when those stats come out.

But hey, that's what training camp was for. At least that's the excuse for the shaky half-court offense...

Advance metrics is not friendly to Ingram. The only thing that does not reflect my eye test is Ingram dbpm. Hart starting over Kuz is starting to make more sense.

The numbers are slowly normalizing. Compare Ingram's current DBPM to the earlier numbers. This probably does not reflect any change in his play, or at least not a change of such a magnitude. Stats based on +/- are just going to be funky early in the season, when the dataset is small. This is why ESPN hasn't released RPM yet.

If anyone wants to see the RPM numbers, go here:

Lebron is the only Laker in the top 40. Hart is next at 47. Ingram is 410 of 430.

Ingram and Kuzma are getting fairly consistent playing time. They should be better. I expect kcp, lonzo, lance and Rondo to be a little lower statistically.

I disagree he's a pretty good defender and still great at driving to the hoop. To have him ranked as one of the worst players in the game isn't accurate.

Between how much espn's rpm overrates centers and how they never release the formula they use, I just dont trust it too much. Personally I like BPM a little more but both arent perfect.

Ingram has taken 2 shots off of cuts this year.

I meant driving to the hoop after getting the ball, mainly after close outs. I corrected it as you submitted this.

Honestly I only started to notice it after one of your early video submissions pointing it out. Atleast I think it was one of your videos.

RPM does overrate centers, but in fairness that's why positional RPM makes more sense. In that Ingram is #78/83 so...

Also they don't release the actual formula but someone on Nylon Calculus showed if you use RAPM with BPM as a prior, you get very very close to RPM. So you can just think of it as RAPM where they use some composite box score stats to stabilize the results. (The derivation of RAPM is free available on youtube.) They do technically include some extra stuff (like player height as mentioned) but the bulk of it is on/off numbers via RAPM with a side of BPM.

If there is one thing that this season should have taught us, it is that NBA fans greatly underrate centers.
