Our next 3 games:

Mavs(?)
Blazers(L)
Raptors(L)

We're looking at 3-7 and that's best case scenario because the Mavs can def beat us.

The latter 2 teams have an offensive identity and play defense. We have Luke.

Can we please not play Rondo anymore, the offense just doesnt flow well with him and his defense is garbage.

Lonzo had an off night and Hart wasn't much better. Who did you want to close out the game?

I honestly believe all 4 of them have huge potential but it takes coaching to bring it out

Look at the Rams and Sean McVay. It's amazing if you find the right coach when you already have the right team.

Its a number of things...

1 LeBron + new team usually takes time for the team to start rolling

2 A lot of ppl certainly did not pick this team to be top 5 in the west lol, its too early to know where we’ll finish but if we dont finish top 5 you cant honestly say that was the expectation .. maybe your expectation but not the majority.

3 Keep in mind the success of this season is heavily dependent on how much the young guys progress.. which is why every credible voice around the nba community pretty much said we will be a 6-8 seed playoff team

Prior to the start of the season, Lakers had the 5th best odds to win the championship. A lot of people have a lot of different opinions but that's what I go by.

As constructed we have no chance to win the title this season, lets be realistic

Every broadcaster, analyst whether it be Leglar, JVG, Burke, and whoever else pretty much anyone other than Stephen A has us barely making the playoffs

We have good players but we are missing shooters and rim protectors.

The front office thought they could wing it with what we had but they were wrong.

Despite what everyone has said about switchable defense... you still need players who can serve those fundamental functions.

Not the sole problem, but definitely part of the problem.

It's an effort thing, how many games below .500 do we need to be before Lebron starts taking it seriously

Also theres a huge Laker betting base. And yes the reasons they have us low is due to some of things we are seeing now. 3PT, rebounding, defense, dynamic between Rondo and Lonzo, coaching, etc.

We have the talent to make the playoffs but Luke is over his head IMHO. He has yet to instill any defensive identity into this team

I'm high on BI, he won't be a superstar though.

I'm high on Hart, he's a role player at best

Lonzo's motor is troublesome

Kuz gives me Clarkson vibes.

Not going to lie, but the team seems off.
Is it coaching?
Is it a poor mix of players?
Lack of shooters?
Lack of having centers?

This season our leader is Lebron, and his lethargic play and lack of effort on D is rubbing off negatively on our young team. I hope we don't get this stat padding, don't give a (bleep) version of Lebron for the next 4 seasons since it will get ugly. Luke needs to hold Lebron to account but you know he won't stand for that

mimi...complete (bleep)...watch you creep right in LeBrons arse again if he makes a play...unreal....you freaking fairweather fans kill me

Pace and transition has fallen off since Rondo came back. Coincidence?

last time I looked, lineups with Rondo in them were most of the fastest pace on the team.....much faster than Lonzo lineups. Have to wait to see what the numbers say about tonight.

Let's check again tomorrow. Let's also be sure to check offensive efficiency, too.

BVH, didn't I say as much? I am not the enemy...I prefer Lonzo starting and developing with the core...but the poster was making a statement that the numbers did not support going into this game. There are many good reasons Lonzo should be on the court.....but outplaying Rondo tonight was not one of them.

I didn't imply you were the enemy. Tensions are running high, I get that, but my comment to you was one of passive interest. The pace of the team by lineup will be something to monitor all season.

shouldve had lonzo in to end.

That switch between BI and Lonzo on the Teague Butler PNR will be a better switch.

Or BI could just not die on the screen lol

You can see the team having a winning formula something just doesn’t click for the team down the stretch good thing there are a lot of games left for the team to figure it out.

I hope they stick with the starting lineup of Zo or Rondo at point guard.

BI at shooting guard
Lebron
Kuzma
Javale

Sure it looked a little off today but I feel if this unit can develop a real chemistry there size and length should be problems for other teams.

IMO, if they see their leader dominating then they will follow and gain confidence. LBJ has been too passive I think.

I used to say that Vince Carter is a player that can put up and ave. 25 pts per game but that 25 pts fells like it has no impact on the game whatsoever. It's a quiet 25 pts.

I think LBJ is in that mode right now.

Lack of dependable shooters; lack of a backup C; no strong rebounders. I mean it is everything that we already knew was wrong with this lineup. Randle would have helped a lot in this area. Beyond McGee, the team just gets pushed around at will.

As pessimistic as this sounds, its more reasonable than some saying all 4 of them are untouchable

I love Lonzo’s natural basketball ability but the motor is such a big question mark .. if Kuz isnt scoring he doesnt have anything to offer. Hart could be a very solid piece to a championship team

If you told me to bet all my money on one guy in terms of who could reach allstar status it has to be Ingram

Refs are like 6th man on the floor tonight but that's part of playing on the road.

It really sucks that none of our young guys, even the ones we traded, have exploded into stardom. seems like every team with young guys has that guy that's for sure gonna be a superstar or is already an all-Star. Did we just draft the wrong players? Do we just suck at developing youth? I wonder if Tatum would be the amazing player he is if he were playing with us? How would BI look on Philly instead of Simmons? I really think we just suck at developing our guys. How can you miss (by miss I mean our guys not looking like stars) on 3 straight #2 picks?

Sure the way we looked in these losses the Mavs got a chance against us but if feels damn good to be home I guess.

After getting smacked up on the Road these past two games I hope we come out extra motivated and hyped against Dallas this Wednesday at home hopefully blowing them out!! 😈😈😈
