Didn't get to heavy on trade talk ( I thought it would be more denial than anything), but did say that there will be many moves thru league in the next 48 hrs and Lakers are closer to aggresive in making a move to help team. Did dent Odom for Francis, and said a scorer to backup Kobe would be ideal. The interviewer asked about Odom and his play and Phil was positive, but it wasn't like previous shows in which he insisted LO was not going anywhere... Also said teams will trade for players like Penny Hardaway to fill capspace for next years FA's and talked about how Suns did that a couple years ago to acquire Steve Nash, because they had a promising rooke in Amare (we have Bynum??).
I don't know if Lakers will make a move, but Mitch is trying and we should not doubt he wants to make his mark with this organization, and don't think that Dr. Buss, Jr. Buss, and Phil have input on major decision making.
