It isn't a bad back to back at least. It's at home against a team who is without their best player.

I was expecting a run by the Blazers at the end. Our bench heavily outplayed their bench but it seemed like their starting lineup outplayed ours. Was hoping it wouldn't come that close. Something needs to be done to have the starters play with the same intensity.

Most haters are clowns, so just let em clown.

Also, when the Lakers were ahead by around 20, it quieted all the Luke-haters. But, the Zo, and B.I. haters came out to play. Players will have off nights, but the defense has to stay consistent. Except for instances here and there, the defense was solid. Was admittedly down on Zubac, but glad he was able to contribute some solid play.

Not pretty, but good win! Lakers!

Brandon was reading LG.net at halftime. Then decided to dunk on Nurkic with the left hand tomahawk as his response

THIS WAS AWESOME!

Taste starting the game on the bench, that’ll fire them up

Good sign. Growing pains definitely but games like this just improves the team chemistry.

Yep, Lakers stepped up on D when we needed it, LeBron is still a heck of a defensive player, that block was nasty.

I think folks being way over the top on him. Offensively he struggled but I saw a number of good defensive sequences by him.

BI's problem is he is just way too skinny and weak. Until he somehow gets stronger he will always be up and down.

They were fortunate in the first game, when we started 0-15 from 3.

He's awesome when he doesn't have to play the 5 or play 40 minutes. You get fresh Lebron in the 4th quater, this is what you get. With the emergence of Zubac and the addition of Chandler, I hope we've solved our center issue.

Just as an aside, the 5 games we lost, the other teams were fortunate our young guys didn't really know how to close a game out.

Yeah, I was encouraged that we won even playing really badly.

Of course it helped that Portland's shot was off all night.

But I thought we were gonna get a blowout and get to rest LBJ...
still think we have a chance but I wish we didn't need him all night.

Not going to be picky with a win at Portland. I don’t care how ugly it looks, we have been tormented enough with that place.

For how bad we have looked at times we realistically could be 8-1..Hopefully we now go on a winning streak,

He’s up and down now because he’s very young, go check the history of the league, young players are always up and down except for a few exceptions

I think he gets in his head too much. If his first few shots fall... he's capable of a 30 point game... if he misses, everything from passes to free throws starts to spiral.

Same with Zo, but at least Ingram seems to stay engaged more.
