He's pretty bad. Especially this year on this team.
I'd like to see clutch freethrow stats though. Not sure how to look those up.
he's been especially bad on the clutch ones. Kind of the opposite of Shaq lol. His overall is mid-70s which is not great for a goat type. The difference with this team and his other ones is there's no ray allen to shoot the techs and stuff, etc. THey're all bad except KCP. We've been lucky with a couple of these wins, and at least 2-3 lbj has cost us with fts. I'd say he's been like 1/8 on the clutch ones so far.
ALl these guys should be above 80, and that can be done if they focus on it for a while.
He's shooting 74% which is his career average. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

I saw something on ESPN about it..
i believe 0-4 in free throws and 1-10 on 3's..
I am not sure of the exact definitions they used to get those stats but regardless just with the eye test of this year and his entire career as well he always plays better when he has that closer next to him that can take the majority of those late shots so it doesn't fall all on him.. he is not built like a kobe or mj which has its positives and negatives.
I honestly believe this is far and away the biggest current need of the team.. it looks awkward as hell every iso possession of all the close games this year.. i feel like we either have to get a fast break bucket, offensive put back or fouled and pray they can actually make them.. lebron just dribbles around and throws up a deep contested shot most of the time.
lebon's been damn good at everything this year for the most part but this is def. the glaring weakness for sure.

Hopefully Hack-a-Fultz becomes a thing, just so we can watch that train wreck.
Watch? You think Zo and Rondo are good from the charity stripe? We
have our own...
Hack-a-Rondo or Hack-a-Zo
if teams actually start doing this, it will be a very bad sign.
Its funny how we were one of the worst if not the worst in freethrow shooting last season and coincidentally we signed guys that arent good freethrow shooters 😂

LBJ has always started out choking at a new place and then settles in after awhile.
I'd rather him miss all of his clutch shots early... get it out of his system and be ready for the playoffs.
I’m not really worried about LeBron’s freethrows more worried about Lonzo, Rondo, Hart .. basically all of our guards arent good ft shooters which is pretty much ass backwards lol

I still have hope for Lonzo... however if he's still shooting 50% at the end of the season then maybe I might have to give up on him figuring it out.
Rondo's a great backup, but if all goes well he won't be finishing games.
Hart isn't too bad... I'm hoping he can improve to the mid seventies which is where he was his senior and junior year in college.

It's weird how Shaq was a much worse free throw shooter than Lebron, but when the Lakers absolutely needed Shaq to make free throws in crunch time he usually made them. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

Clearly a mental issue. Blows my mind how a 4 time MVP and 3 time champ can lose all confidence at the line. If Shaq could turn it on in the playoffs/clutch, LeBron needs to.

I know Shaq declared "I make them when it counts." However, I doubt that's true. For example, this study found he shot 53.3% in the clutch and 51.8 in non-clutch situations.
