When someone replies “this” or “this guy gets it”. The ultimate sign of internet approval. 😜 |

There are 4 or 5 plus players on the Lakers. Guess who they are?

He needs to be on a team like Orlando. | no. he needs to be on a team with some shooters obviously. but he also needs to get longer stints on the floor. he gets in a groove when he's out there for awhile. but if not. he has not figured out how to strike quickly and often within a short time span. |
He needs to be more assertive, run the offense thru him when he gets the ball, kinda like young Rondo with KG/Ray/Pierce | but thats the thing. what we deem assertive is an old school point guard. a ball dominant pound the ball most of the shot clock and setting everyone up type of pg. that aint zo. never has been zo. probably will never be zo. zo gets the ball out of his hands quickly to allow others to make the 2ndary pass or to allow the play to be setup quicker. if a coach doesnt understand this, or his teammates dont get it. he will look super uninspired. Someone said it in here. Zo is the system. he is not going to do well trying to FIT in the system. Once everyone realizes that he will be fine. if they dont, well, he's going to be a solid defender and a good 2ndary passer that can hit some open 3's from time to time. thats about it. thats ok and good to have because we wont be paying him much, nor will he be good trade bait because most coaches dont understand how to use a guy like this. its going to take some out of the box thinking for someone to use him properly especially among other vets/stars. cause your gut will have you going with a traditional style over his style. |
This might be the situation. Was the ball getting out of his hands quickly to his presumably less talented high school teammates, or was he ball-dominant? |

Its not impossible that both do but its more likely than 1 does - obviously.
Lonzo is the most talented of the 3 but how many talented players have come into the league and left it talent unfulfilled? |

Lonzo is the type of player that would fit into pretty much any lineup. Everyone feels disappointed because he's not the scorer Mitchell or Fox are, but that's not why we saw value in him. It's been mentioned time and time again, but we keep forgetting how much he helps in every other area of the game besides scoring. He has already shown to be shooting better this season yet the overreaction is that he's a bust. Once he puts up another triple double the talk will shift to how generational of a talent he is. |

Kuzma's about 3-4 ppg away from being an all star |
That’s the problem with the game today. People don’t care about rebounds, defense, or passion anymore apparently. |
So true. So far he's nothing but a chucker that can also finish at the rim. I'm glad we have him for his scoring. But, he offers little else. He has length with solid speed and athleticism. The only thing keeping Kuz from being a better defender, rebounder and playmaker is Kuz. |
