One playmaker (all you need) and 3 shooters. This was always the answer.

Just a fantasy -

Hart
*Beal*
LeBron
Kuzma
Mcgee/Chandler

I think LBJ would like the D and O possibilities...

The best way to success for the Lakers is to surround Lebron with shooters who an hit the open shot and a good rim protector.
So the Lakers have to put in players who can shoot the ball.
Start:
Lebron
McGee
Kuzma
Ingram- mid range game
Hart or KCP

Kuzma, KCP and Hart can hit the 3 point shot.
Lonzo cannot hit the side of a barn now and is wasting the open shots Lebron creates for him. And the other teams are playing him to pass which puts a further burden on the offense.
McGee and Chandler has changed the defense with their rim protection.

Without getting into it's value, isn't Lebron's game enough from midrange?

I don't know how long BI is going to be out. It was reported he left the arena on crutches. Depends what kind of sprain it is. That being said now that we have a glimpse of the current starting 5 it seems to me that it fits and flows much better without Ingram. So when he comes back I'm not so sure he will get his starting job back.

As long as we don't play against an above average wing scorer. We're fine without starting Ingram. Thing is, when playoffs come around. Most teams have a guy like that.
Without Ingram we lost a game after scoring 140+ points. Most recent loss we hit 120 and lost by double digits.
I LOVE how fluid the offense looked against Memphis. But I've seen some worrisome defense without Ingram as well.

Yea the Spurs games without him have proven how valuable he is as a 1v1 wing defender. He really needs to learn how to fit in offensively so it can run as smoothly with him as it does without him because we can really use him on DeRozan types.

It'll be interesting to see how we look against HOU if Ingram isn't back. Miami sucks. That should be an easy win.

I think we're going to lose at Houston. There's a lot of bad blood between these two teams because of the fight earlier in the year. It's kind of ironic that the two players that might not play are the two that got into the fight and got suspended.

Luke always says he doesn't give away starting spots due to injury. Unfortunately. Hopefully BI has watched enough to see when playing with Lebron he needs to catch and shoot...and when playing without him...he can do his 1 on 1 thing. IDK why that is so hard.

I'm not opposed to BI coming back as a starter. They could see how it goes and see if will be about the same or better than it is now.
