I was just wondering this. I thought one year deals had no trade built in? Or why does KCP have one? _________________ #countonkobe |

I have no idea why KCP has one built in to be honest. Some people are speculating that the KCP contract was a gift to Rich Paul, and that the Lakers would help move KCP to somewhere where he could better set his value for his next contract. If that's true, a no-trade makes some sense to protect himself from being dealt somewhere that woudln't benefit him in that way. |

It's because of the early bird rights he would have after the season with the Lakers. Those won't transfer if he gets traded, so the CBA gives those players a NTC automatically to help protect them |

Actually, it's because KCP is on a one year deal WITH early bird rights so he has a built-in no trade clause. Ariza is only on a one year deal so no built-in no trade clause. |

What a great Haul for Phoenix IMO.

At least Houston didn't find a way to get him back. (bleep) the Rockets. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

why do the wizards want ariza? they are ranked 11?
well if they get further behind, are they allowed to trade ariza?
also they may want kcp IF they trade their sg?
thought realistic, lakers would have made another move by then.
i think there r 2 targets already |

Why would Washington even trade for Ariza? They are not near the one-piece-away category. Maybe this means Beal is on the move and Ariza is the fill-in? |

was are just making a move for the sake of making a move. They have no clear direction and refuse to fix the bad moves they've made. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins
