Buyout. But yeah, not via trade.

So Washington was willing to give up Oubre and a 2nd for Ariza

Let's give them KCP + Zubac/Lance/Bease for Oubre + Morris with no picks involved

That would be a steal if Pelinka and Magic can pull it off, Markieff IMO is the talented Morris twin but he is playing in a bad system so his game and talent is being held back and of course we get the rich version of Nick Young for a bunch of scraps...

The most interesting thing about all of this is that oubre is available.

Wizards don't want to pay him next year.

Lakers wouldn't be a landing spot because we wouldn't keep him.

Could the old "Suns get Markelle Fultz, 76ers get KCP, Lakers get Trevor Ariza deal" (or some variation of) be back in play????

No.

And don’t think fultz was ever in play.

Considering the asking price, I don't think teams including the Lakers would mind getting him for a one year rental

Some of these owners are legit stupid, they're undermining their own front office by being petty fools.

Emplay has it wrong, it was David Aldridge who reported it not Woj.

We have enough perimeter players that can't shoot. 31% from 3 on 4 attempts. I can't even imagine the damage Lonzo and Oubre would do to the rim.

Anyone thinks its possible that Sarver doesn’t want to trade with us because the Pope is not that great at 3s?

Also Oubre is a small forward. If someone were to speak with Ingram I think he'd say we have enough small forwards on the team, thank you very much.

Technically Ariza could be traded again by the team the Suns traded him to but only in a 1 for 1 trade. So the team would have to want KCP straight up later on. Not sure if picks are allowed in trades like that.

They were never getting Pope in a proposed 3 way deal anyways. He doesn't want to trade with us because:

1) Tyson Chandler backlash

2) The city hates him right now for trying to potentially move the team so what better to get the fans on your side than to refuse to trade with their "rival".

Haha. I meant, maybe he doesn’t want to trade with us because by “Pope” he thought we were offering up The Pope.

I'm very against this idea. He adds nothing to the team.

Honestly, I'd rather swap KCP for a proven 3-point sniper.
