I don't mind a team of Lebron, KD, AD, and bunch of scrubs. Trade the farm if you have to. Get it done Lakers. |

Do any think 4.5 million is really a leverage? That's pittance to NBA owners. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

actually teams are pretty damn cheap - a lot of them anyway - you'd be surprised. It's just one of many potential factors. If the Pelicans are looking at deals that are close and one nets them an extra $4+ mil, that's not insignificant at all - especially given the ownership transition, sadly _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

When matching contracts, do teams have to consider pre-trade kicker value or post-trade kicker value? |

outgoing team is pre-kicker - incoming team is post - makes for difficult salary matching in some cases _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

For the last few years (in some ways, over a decade now), it's as if the same article gets written over and over, just filling in a new guy's name.
Let's list all the reasons why and how (George/Leonard/Butler/Davis/Etc.) can will force their way to the Lakers, while listing a number of reasons why it might not work out.
I'm not saying AD won't be a Laker, or that the information about the trade-kicker lacks relevance, but I have trouble believing it will truly be a deciding factor in where ends up, especially given all the other rumors we've listened to that failed to come true over the last few years. |
