Thursday's starting lineup has been a long time coming:
Zubac
Kuzma
Ingram
Hart
Lonzo

They've all been doubted and spoken badly of, and that's just by LG posters. Now, they're probably going to starting Thursday against a pretty good Kings squad.

After 2 to 3 years (seasons), can they look like a special unit? Hopefully they'll fit well on both ends. We've seen them as individuals performing well at times, but what should we expect now?

Although they didn't all play extended minutes on the 2017 summer league, they were part of the championship squad. Imo, they should do ok.

Glass half full.. we are 2.5 games from 1st place.
Glass half empty.. we are 2 games ahead of the Kings, and they're out of the playoffs. LOL!

Could have been the greatest Summer League roster ever constructed if Ingram didn't get hurt in Game 1...

Still haunts me

Lakers will have a loud "home" crowd against a tired Kings team who played last night. Great opportunity for the young guys to step up and have a good game.

as usual, Kings folded against a non-Laker team last night, but will definitely show up against us tonight.

they were saving it for tonight...a win over the clips means little to them

Back to back is misleading tonight, they didn’t show up last night.

Hield was missing everything, their keys players played like 26 minutes last night.

They definitely looked like a team saving their game for tonight.

Buddy missed everything last time he played the Lakers too so it sounds like they're ready for another L.

Mike Trudell

@LakersReporter

Luke Walton said Josh Hart would most likely start in LeBron’s place tonight, so that means we could see the all Lakers draft picks starting line up from Summer League two years ago: Ball, Ingram, Hart, Kuzma and Zubac. That’s 3 21-year-olds and 2 23-year-olds.

We’ll definitely see Brandon Ingram on the ball more as a playmaker, with both LeBron and Rondo out.

I just don’t see us winning tonight. This starting 5 is still very young....there is no true leader in this group imo.

I hope they don't try and force things, let the game come to them. Don't try and play at an ultra high pace, the Lakers have actually played better when the play slows down because it helps their defense.

On offense they may actually have to run things through Ingram, not Lonzo. When Kuzma went berserk the other night after Lebron got injured, Luke reefed him put in Ingram, and Ingram calmly sank a semi-contested mid range to help establish a lead heading into the end of the 3rd quarter.

I think Ingram will be very important to the Lakers today

Ditto. Kings/Fox were waiting for tonight. If Ingram or Kuzma doesn’t have monster games this could get ugly

We're more than capable of handling Sacramento. They're playing well and their record shows it, but their roster is nothing special.

Contain Fox and Hield and we're good.

Not likely without guys that know how to use bigs effectively. He will disappear on everything except boards.

It's just too bad that group no longer includes a rebounding PF.

True...but they’ve been running that group the entire year while we need to figure this out on the fly. And as of right now Fox is a better leader than Ball imo.
