Early vegas line is Lakers -1 1/2. Pistons have lost 2 straight and 7 of last 10 games. Kuz will have his hands full guarding Griffin

These are the sorts of games where I wish we had someone the size of Larry Nance or Julius to help defend Griffin. With Kuzma's small frame, idk if that's entirely possible. But Luke should not try to experiment again by using the twin tower lineup like he did in Minnesota.

Beasley will get a few minutes on him.

Preview: Pistons (17-21) at Lakers (22-19)

Lakers -1.5 o/u 217.5

Detroit has been in a prolonged slide since early last month, losing 14 out of its last 18 games. The Pistons begin a four-game road trip against the Los Angeles Lakers and they'll also face Griffin's former team, the Clippers, during the weekend.

The second unit has consistently been outplayed since backup point guard Ish Smith suffered an adductor tear.

He'll miss his 17th straight game on Wednesday. Backup center Zaza Pachulia, a stabilizing force, sat out the last four games with a right leg contusion.

"We're a little out of sorts with Zaza out, with Ish out," Casey said. "We're trying to put a Band-Aid on it until they get back."

At 17-21, the Pistons are in danger of falling further out of the playoff picture as the halfway mark approaches.

Need at least 3-1 stretch before @okc, @hou B2B.

4-0 would make up for that bad loss to Knicks.

Kuzma and McGee will definitely play a lot due to their Flint connections, but I’m also expecting to see a lot of Mo out there too.

The next 4 games (Pistons, Jazz without Rubio, Cleveland, Chicago) are all winnable. Hoping to go 3-1 or even 4-0 if Ingram and Zo play as well as they did the last game.

LeBron shouldn't try to play in any of these so that he can be 100% when we face OKC, Houston, GSW.

Lets be little realistic here. 2-2 would be fantastic until LBJ is back. I just hope we will beat CHI and CLE. These teams are awful.

Definitely MUST win games (including this one). We have to protect our home court.
If we cut down on turnovers and play defense we should be in pretty good shape. But without LBJ you never really know.

DEFENSE will be the key in all of these games. If we continue to play hard defensively and attack the paint we should be fine.
Currently the Lakers rank 8th in NBA Team Defensive Efficiency.

A Pistons team that cant shoot vs. a Lakers team that no one can shoot against. Looks like a recipe for tacos.

This one is gonna be might tough, don't see Kuz putting in any amount of resistance V Blake and we're gonna have to fight on the glass.
Rebound by committee or forget about it.

This game kick starts a Lakers domination of nationally televised games in a row. This is the first game of many to be on national tv, in fact, the next game NOT on national tv? 1/27 against the Suns...
