No, they're still claiming that it's a normal part of the manufacturing process. You could buy one and they'll give you 14 days to return it if you discover that it has some deviation. After the 14 day period, you'll need to deal with customer care.

So they just released the 2019 iPad air, which I guess is the successor to the Air line and an in-between model between the basic and pro models. It's only around $180 cheaper when you factor in the sale Amazon has on the 11 inch pro right now.
