He hasn't been the "greatest basketball player in the world" for a couple of years now.

How many years back are we going?

KD probably took the torch during/after the 2016-2017 season. After that you can add Curry, Harden, and Giannis to the list of players that are better than LeBron at this point. Am I missing someone?

Yep, I see us in the 9-12th range though. I think we're headed to 42-40 this year.

This season it's not even close. Slightly off topic, but that game winner PG13 just hit over Gobert was naaaasty. Legit MVP candidate. LeBron... not so much.

Never bought one in my life. Would you put money on getting Zion? Of course you wouldn't, lol.

Lakers were 6-12 without LeBron during an easy stretch of the schedule. This team flat out stinks, that's why this thread exists.

LeBron may not be having his best season with his number of games missed(neither is Durant, BTW), and such body language from a superstar generally precedes a trade request. But to take him out of top 3 just 8 months after he stood up to a dynastic superpower with only Kevin Love and George Hill at his side is premature.

His current team is wilting, with most players knowing they're going to other teams even if they make the playoffs. My gut feeling: Lonzo is sitting out unless someone who might be here next season threatens to take his spot (In other words, he's sitting out). He probably should shut it down with that Grade 3, anyway.

Getting into the top 3 of this draft would sort of make up for losing all of our young talent these past few years (especially DLO), since I don't think we're this bad if we had DLO/Randle/Clarkson/Nance/Zubac/Bryant right now.

However, I don't trust our FO with a top three pick. Chances are they'll try to ship it off for AD, which I would only support if they did so without giving up Zo/Kuz/BI and only if AD verbally commits to signing here longterm.

The Asian in me wants to be okay with the Lakers sliding a few games down and drafting Rui Hachimura.

Late tank but I’ll take it. We can easily tank the rest of this season for 6th worst record.

That’s decent odds for a top 3 pick.

Just let James rest and prepare for next season. Fire Luke and let Ingram, Kuz and Lonzo ball out.

This summer, make the biggest run possible for Coach K or Calipari then make a splash in free agency.

Lol who'd have thought we'd in a tank thread in 2018-19 with Bron. Maybe Maginka will stop giving away top picks now that they know no one gifted it to us in the first place.

I did not think it could get more embarrassing than Saturday...

It’s time to tank and I don’t think this FO should be the ones making the pick tbh.

It is quite amazing how the trade of Zubac and the killed team chemistry has made us look like the worst team in the league even though we have a top 5 player. Like those last years with Kobe all over lololol
