If no 3 point shot existed, are Warriors still the best team?

Watching Klay drop his first 10 3's on us got my gears churning. Purely hypothetical but if the 3 pointer didn't exist, do you guys think Warriors would still be the best team in the league?

If the 3-point shot didn't exist, the Warriors as they are currently composed wouldn't exist either.

If the backboard didn’t exist, do you think Tim Duncan would have 5 rings?

Without a 3 point shot, the NBA would revert back to high percentage post play being much more important. Spacing would decline as the defense would be fine if you wanted to shoot from 20+ feet.

Jahlil Okafor would actually be a good player without a 3 point line...

"If the three point shot doesn't exist ... ?"

But it does. It has for almost forty years. It's an element of the game that's influenced tactics and rules ever since.

You might as well wonder what the team like the Showtime Lakers would been forty years before they did exist, when no players of color were hired by NBA clubs.

If they played without a ball, wouldn’t all games end 0-0?

Yeah, they'd still be hitting tons of shots and playing good defense.
