He played Lebron and the young core too much.
While hardly playing the vets. Especially after Lebron went down.
The vets were ready and not used to full capacity.
Now Lebron, Lonzo, Hart, and Kuzma are injured or hurt. Ingram has been injured.

Not recommending replacing Luke. Just making some tweaks
as necessary. But hopefully he can be more pro active.

Look if you break down the game last night. There’s a reason why McGee, Lance and Space cadet are considered scrubs. They make mistakes that make you scratch your head. Shorten the leash on these scrubs so they won’t hurt you much.

Good vid. Thanks.

It's funny how the non Laker fans actually believe Luke is a good coach and that he somehow deserves better.

Winning cures everything.
This team without Lebron ain't winning squat. Regardless of coach. Nuff said.

Winning will cure a lot of ills and we aren’t playing again until Tuesday right? So surely LeBron will be back on the floor. And hopefully Kuz will be in better shape as well. We need some winnin up in here.

I thought this part was hilarious:

Quote:
(Beasley) repeatedly referred to Walton as "bro" during the exchange Saturday, which touched a nerve with the coach, a source told ESPN.

So which is it, Luke? You bro or no?

It's a sign Beasley doesn't view Luke as a coach, because you don't call your coach bro. You call your teammate bro. It's probably why Luke got upset and it's one of the reasons it's so hard to coach other people from the same draft class you came up in

No, it isn't. He was frustrated, obviously. People have a tendency to say things when they're frustrated that that they wouldn't say otherwise. Tempers flared. Big deal. You're not being insightful. You're just blowing it out of proportion by speculating. Professional athletes are human, too. They can have times where they say things strictly out of anger, just as we do.

People usually don't say things out of politeness. And yes people do usually say things in anger, and the things they say are usually what they actually feel at the time.

My 2 cents...the players are starting to talk about what nobody else seems to want to state. (commentators/color announcers, analysts, etc) We have coaching problems and its become obvious that Luke may not be the right man for the job. In his short career as head coach as the Lakers...there are no positives to speak of. Our spacing and bad shot selection night in and out is due to poor coaching. Lakers org knows this and are downplaying it and not speaking about it. But i would bet the farm that they are well aware a change has to be made. Do you think Luke is fooling L.J.?

Bad shot selection night in and night out is not the coach's fault. What did we expect when Magic signed Beasley, Lance and Javale?

Right now, Javale is trying to be Hakeem out there not focusing on defense and hustle like earlier this season. He is frustrated that Zu took over the starting spot. Beasely is a space cadet and just floats out there mindlessly. Lance wants to be MJ night in and night out.

This is not Luke's fault. Media has been vocal from day 1 about how the Lakers signed players who CANNOT shoot. I'm sure this is the big reason of the offensive woes.

https://sports.yahoo.com/lakers-forward-michael-beasley-disputes-reported-incident-coach-luke-walton-000350046.html

“This past Saturday after the Warriors game, Coach Walton and our team had a conversation after a tough loss. Despite reports to the contrary, there was nothing physical between Coach Walton, me, or any other teammate,” Beasley said. “I’ve sat back in the past when stories have been twisted and misreported, but I won’t do that this time. I respect Luke and I respect this team. We are trying to win a championship together.”

It was also reported that center JaVale McGee was involved in a combative verbal exchange directed at Walton, but McGee told Yahoo Sports that was “fake news.”
