I am not sure if others are watching (5 episodes in out of 7), but I thought I would mention and recommend. Of course it is a historical event, so we know the basic story and ending....but there is some excellent performances in the series. Patricia Arquette is better than anything I have seen her in previously. Benicio Del Toro is great as usual; even Paul Dano and Eric Lange are excellent in their roles.
If you have not been watching....would be a good 7 episode series to watch over a Christmas break or weekend. I think Episode 6 will air this Sunday, and the final episode will air on December 30th. |

I finished watching this a while back. Patricia Arquette was really good she gained like 40 lbs. For the role. I thought Stiller did a great job directing. It was interesting how he built compassion for the 2 escapees during the first part of the series. But in episode 6 he flashed back to what these (bleep) animals did to get incarcerated. That changed the whole tenor of the series. Their 2 (bleep) were no one you wanted on the outside. In my opinion they surrendered their membership to the human race with their muredous acts and should have been executed. But all in all better than I thought in terms of a series. |
