I'm not really sure what to make of this since it seems counter intuitive, but among QB's with 10 or more games, Goff has been sacked the 5th fewest times. |

Should we be rooting for Seattle to beat the Vikings today, since they have a worse record (by one game)? |

I'm rooting for the Seahawks.
Even if they lost tonight, we beat them next week, and they lose their final game against the Niners, we still would lose the tiebreak because their division record is better. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Note that the 49ers could still lose 3 of their last 4, as they play the Saints, Seahawks, and Rams. (Remember, any scenario where we think the Rams have a shot to make the playoffs requires them to run the table and finish 11-5.) If the 49ers lost to both the Rams and Seahawks, they would have 3 division losses, and the Rams would only have 2. But in that scenario, Seattle could still win the division, meaning that you eliminate them from the tiebreaker process for a Wild Card spot. I assume that it would then go to conference record. The 49ers would have 4 NFC losses: Seahawks twice, Saints, and Rams. The Rams would have 3 NFC losses: Seahawks, 49ers, and Buccaneers. So the Rams would actually win that tiebreaker over the 49ers, in such a scenario.
Bottom line is that if the Rams can manage to run the table and finish 11-5 (I don't think it's likely, but hey, it's in play), there's a decent shot that they would get in, as it's quite possible that at least one of the 49ers/Seahawks/Vikings would also have 5 losses. |

^Yeah, it will be tough but I just want a reason to watch the Rams while we still have some control over our own fate. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Well, with the Vikings now at 4 losses, if the Rams run the table, you'd need just one more Vikings loss to an NFC foe, because the Rams would win a tiebreaker with the Vikings in such a scenario. The Vikings currently have 3 NFC losses, same as the Rams. The Vikings play 3 of their final 4 against NFC teams (all home games against Chicago, Green Bay, and Detroit), as well as a game at the Chargers. |

Rams have a tougher schedule....Seahawks and 49ers when they cannot afford another loss. |

Oh, it's unlikely that the Rams do, in fact, run the table. I'm just saying, since any realistic scenario of them making the playoffs requires them to run the table, I'm just looking at what we need other teams to do. |

Here we go, Rams can't afford to drop anymore games if they want to keep their playoff hopes in their hands. More likely they will get 3 wins out of 4. |

2 min. warning - I would stick to running the ball. Need to make sure SEA doesn't get another possession. |

Well, looks like they have a decent chance then. They should win tonight (21-3 at the half)
They should beat Arizona.
So, if they beat both DAL and SF, then they are in the playoffs. If they beat one, they have around a 55-60% chance of making it. |

Looks like all the Rams needed was a bit of pressure to get them to play like they did last year. |

They probably released all that pressure at halftime. |

Damn it Goff...There was no need for that long bomb there. We should have just ran the ball, and took the 3 points. |

Anyone agree an INT here is better than an incomplete pass?
It's 3rd and 5, an incomplete means they punt the ball.
Here, the INT is at the 3 yd line. You'd kill for a punt that pins them at the 3 yd line. |

Yeah, they were at the 37 yd line, so maybe FG range. Maybe even 4 down territory.
I take that back
If they hold here and keep field position, the INT didn't hurt much
Yup, they lost about 15 yds on that exchange.
But, it was 3rd and 5 at the 37
Now it's 1st and 10 at their own 48. So, all in all, not a bad exchange. |

Silver lining to the pick 6, is that our defense has been fresh, and their defense has been on the field for a good amount of time. |
