He's the only player on the team who shoots and you can't tell that it's a miss as soon as it leaves his hands.

I think Bullock is going to really excel playing with James and Ball. He is also going to try really hard to produce, since he is in a contract year. I look forward to watching Bullock in the second half of the season.

Do you think Reggie outplays KCP and Hart the rest of the year?

He better or we really wasted Svi's cheap contract for no reason.

We also need to resign him.

Another stupid move if the front office guts the team to sign AD and another agent and has no money left to keep Bullock.

I think he does. He is the better pure shooter of the three. If the coach has any sense, he will recognize that and play Bullock a bunch of minutes.

Haha. Now Svi and his contract are valued pieces. We've moved on from Thomas Bryant and Zubac. Wah, Svi, now.

Svi was garbage. Another Anthony Brown. We made a good trade for Bullock. The poor trade might be the Zubac for Muscala trade.

it could be a good trade if we resign Bullock....but Svi was not garbage....he showed a lot (even some on the defensive side) in summer league. If you can come off a screen and hit a 3 point shot in a split second in SL....there is nothing that changes the environment of that play in the NBA.

If we don't resign Bullock then yes it was a waste of assets.

If Bullock was the player that pushes us to a championship run then the trade was worth it regardless if he is resigned or not. But he is not.

In regards to Bryant and Zubac we essentially gave 2 other NBA teams their starting center. Regardless of their perceived talent this indicates value in and of itself. If Muscala is not resigned then we will have ZERO to show for these 2 assets.

Lets not forget ZERO return for Randle.

Would these trades have been necessary if Magic/Pelinka signed FA shooters during the summer? Most everyone panned our signings but Magic wanted playmakers/toughness and we see how that has worked out.

Wasting assets for zero return is a trademark of Maginka.

Svi was a valuable player to have on a team that could potentially trade out 3+ players for AD with no cap room to sign more depth. Besides being one of the best 3 point shooters in the draft he also has looked surpingly good on defense and showed ability to drive and finish/pass if a defender ran him off the 3 point line. The Lakers will be hard pressed to find a player that can offer what Svi can be next year at that same salary.

WOW! I must have been watching his twin cause I saw a slower version, lack of foot movement on D & most of all missing a lot of 3’s!!! I’m sure he’ll get much better but not this year, your describing Korver or watching or wishing he was... I liked Svi, but he’s gone, hopefully Wagner sticks around...

You must have because I took up a bit of a hobby scouting his play whenever he was on the floor. He was not slow footed and did a great job at consistently keeping his man infront of him and not just driving right by. On a number of attempts he stonewalled his players drive attempt so well they had no other option than to just pick up their dribble and pass the ball away in defeat. The only caveat I'll add here is that he rarely had a chance to defend elite offensive players. Additional things I seen him do consistently is always try to find a player to box out if he was in the vicinity of a defensive rebound (something most guards/wings dont do) and always give 100% effort on closeouts.
As far as his shooting he simply did not get enough reps in to get a rhythm going on that and shake off any nervous jitters but he definitely showed promise of his potential.

Reggie looks like he is terrible on defense. I like that he has hit some wide open 3's though.
