Curious how everyone would rank these players we either have, had, or could have had assuming they were to play with this LBJ led Lakers team:

BI
Kuz
Zo
D'lo
Randle
Tatum
Fox

I'd go:
1) Fox (think this kid will still improve a lot - maybe not the best compliment to LBJ, but he's a Vegeta fan and I'd like a star PG in this era of dominant PGs)
2) Tatum (two guys we didn't take off the board first, lol)
3) D'lo (Always liked his swag, just wish he'd drive more often than settle)
4) BI/Kuz (cop-out)
5) Randle
6) Zo (I think Zo has potential, his game is just not very well suited to play with a ball dominant LBJ IMO) Was hoping to see an off-ball LBJ this year and maybe LBJ taking PG duties in the fourth, but basically plays PG all game, and Zo is turrible off-ball.

1. Kuzma(will come down as one of the greatest lakers ever)
2. Ball( will become the 2nd best PG in Laker history almost surpassing Magic)
3. Ingram( perennial all-star)
4. Dlo(good player_
5. Randle(good player on a bad team)
6. Tatum(already hit his ceiling)
7. Fox (very overrated)

Ingram
Ball
Kuz
Tatum
DLo
Randle
Fox

The two guys with the highest ceilings at the top, Kuz the scoring machine followed by the overhyped Tatum and the maturing DLo

Haha, hope you're right because that would mean we have 2 or 3 HOFer's with 2 of those guys in Top 10 of all time category. Most consider Magic the best PG of all time, so if Ball almost surpasses Magic, and if Kuz will be even better than Ball...

I will disagree with your outlook, but hope you're right

You think Ingram and Lonzo have higher ceilings than Tatum and Fox? 😂😂 It’s okay to be a die hard Laker fan, we all are, but it’s also okay to be realistic...

You can't content yourself with just leaving your list?

You have to go out of your way to laugh at two fellow posters opinions?

What a dick...

Neither player has shown enough to believe they have better long term potential so it’s laughable to me ...

Yeah, and that's implicit with your original post as well as consistent history on the board.

If I had to pick the players for a game today...not for projections for tomorrow...

1. DLO... one year younger than Kuzma and is already in an All Star Game.

2. Tatum...kid is going to be an All Star for years and he's only 20.

3. Kuzma... best value pick in the draft and shows flashes of taking over games.

4. Fox.. a solid two way player that will only get better... athleticism and skills were evident before draft day.

5. Randle...20 and 10... could easily flip Fox and Randle... but age difference and lack of blocking keeps Randle at #5.

6. Ingram... shooting raises him above Lonzo... wants the ball in his hands at the end of games... does not shy away from contact and gets to the line.

7. Ball... amazing vision, solid defense and rebounding... but no threat as a scorer... close to becoming a journeyman if his FT's and shooting do not improve.

As of now....

1. DLO
2. Tatum
3. Kuzma
4. Fox
5. Ingram
6. Randle
7. ZO

Potential.

1. Ingram
2. Tatum/DLO
4. Fox
5. Kuzma
6. Zo

Zo is last for me. What we see from him now, might be what his role is moving forward. Ingram has the best potential because of his length, however, I rank him number 1 in that department in his best case scenario (which most likely will not happen though).

1. Ingram
2. Tatum/Ball
4. Russell
5. Fox
6. Kuzma
7. Randle

Ingram’s length, couple with his ball handling, mid range jumper give him the highest ceiling, not to mention his defense and ability to run offense.

Tatum is a good scorer, but not great/unstoppable.

Ball is very special with his height, version and defense. He and Tatum are very close.

Russell has big heart, but not a very good scorer yet

Fox is a better version of Lou Williams? no size no defense and nothing special as a PG

Kuzma is a good scorer but nothing more than that and can’t creat for himself.

Randle is average other than his physical tools

Just as an FYI, Ingram is averaging more points than Tatum... on the same number of shot attempts and without a 3 pt jumper. I'd argue Ingram has insane room to grow if the Lakers develop him properly. Personally, I think it's game over if he develops some semblance of a 3pt shot. Opens up the floor for everyone.
