Already an "official thread" (OT) posted.

And it's the same title, word for word.

Odd coincidence?

Where are the insiders when you need them- What are the Lakers going to do??

Do we really have the only GM who always tells the truth, make something happen.

Go Lakers

I think it's 72 hours. In this case, before the trade deadline.

Maybe Francis will be shipped somewhere else. After all, NYK have always wanted Odom.

Edit: I mean within 72 hours of the original trade.

I guess we should just get ourselves excited about this team until the summer.

IIRC NY can turn around and trade Francis in a non-packaged deal?

Lakers trades: Odom, George, Miami #1 pick
Lakers receive: T-Mac

Houston trades: T-Mac
Houston receives: Francis, George, NY picks, Miami #1 pick

NY trades: Francis, picks
NY receives: Odom

Not a bad trade at all in this scenario except instead of Orlando getting screwed, it appears Houston is getting shafted unless they get a good pick or two.

Let the rumors fly!

72 hours would be after the trade deadline.

The trade deadline is 3pm EST tomorrow.

That does make some sense, Francis and Malbury can not play on the same team.

They basically took Orlando's place in the oringinal 'supposed' 3 way trade.

What if the deal is directly with Houston and they are adamantly demanding Bynum in the deal.

Odom, Bynum, George for

TMac, Swift or Howard

would you do it?

Has it's chances............Perhaps instead of Francis to the Rockets..............could it be Marbury?

I don't think you are aware how people here deem Bynum untouchable, and I think most would disagree with you.

Yup, alot of people on here would nix that cuz of Bynum being included.

Now if you make it KG for Bynum and Odom, then it's a different ballpark.

(and DARNED well should be lol)

Part of the reason why there is a slight chance of Houston wanting to trade T-Mac is for the chance they get Francis back. I don't think Marbury would cut it.

How long before Larry Brown resigns now? He's not going to be able to deal with those two guys in the backcourt. He and Marbury have already been at it all season.....

That's the second thing that came to my mind when I read the news. Zeke is getting all these non-Larry Brown type players. All offense, no defense, headcases. Eddy Curry, Jalen Rose, and now Franchise. All three are talented, but none of them play any defense. Rose and Franchise have been traded several times and its not because of their talent level. The one guy that IS a Larry Brown guy, Antonio Davis (plays defense, comes to play, doesn't complain) ends up getting traded. Maybe Zeke has it out for Brown.

FYI: The first thing that came to my mind are all the posts that would start popping up saying "OMG WHY COULDN'T MITCH HAVE TRADED FOR FRANCHISE!?!!1"

Overall, I think it's a good trade for the Magic because of the fact they don't want him at all and freed up even more capspace. They already have their real "Franchise" player in Dwight Howard. With Jamir Nelson doing a decent job at PG, I guess they figured they might as well get something for Francis.
