The trade rumors, pipe-dreams, fantasies, etc. are really out of hand.

I'm guessing most people's response isn't on there.
"Bummed if it passes without a move, relieved if it comes with one"
(my take is I'm glad if it passes with no move, so long as no good move
was available - Francis would have been a friggin' disaster) |

I'm assuming that no trade takes place, so that'a why the question is worded that way. I'm fairly confident that there will be no trades involving the Lakers, at this time. |

I will be very much relieved. I'm just waiting to hear rumors of the Lakers bringing back the player-coach position. Instead of trades, we could just turn Rambis, Abdul-Jabbar, and Shaw back into players. Hmmm....could Shaw be the veteran guard with triangle experience that we are looking for? Could Kurt and Kareem provide the much needed rebounding? Do it Mitch! _________________ Defense is my business, and business is good! |

I think you're probably right.
Considering the only halfway legit-sounding rumor of a discussion involved
Francis for LO, I'll be glad no moves were made.
But I'd have to reiterate - we don't know what went on behind the scenes.
We might have passed up some great deals (to where we should be ticked
that no move was made)...
...or there might have been nothing good there (to where we should be
happy no moves were made).
I think the latter is more likely, but I think more people's reaction will
be a knee-jerk assumption of the former. |

I agree, I don't see a trade happening. I'll be glad when it's over just so we can all move on to focus on the lakers making the playoffs. And of course lining up to make a trade over the summer |
