Lionel not saying much means one of two things. Either there is something big that is about to go down and he is keeping quiet or there just isn't a lot to say.
I think it has a lot more to do with there just not a lot happening and him not having really any new news. I mean what has Mitch done to show he can make a blockbuster deal at the deadline. I see no indication to believe that the Lakers are about to do something. |

Lionel has been wrong about trades before so just hold on for 24 more hours and youll have your answer. |

In the summer he said there was going to be a "blockbuster" trade and when it didn't go down, he disappeared for like four months. |

After last off-season, I quit trying to read between the lines and took the approach that I will just wait until something happens. I mean last off-season I held on every word from Lionel, Emplay, and the other posters about all of these trade scenarios and nothing happened(Not their fault the trades fell through). I mean I guess I just don't have a lot of faith in the fact of Mitch getting a good trade and actually pulling the trigger.
I really hope I am wrong and the Lakers pull off a great trade before the deadline and really improve the team. |

I'm with you. I'm not going to knock these guys' credibility or character but the fact of the matter is, they have been wrong on a number of occassions. Let the chips fall as they may. |

Now I'm not a Mitch fan or Mitch basher, but I think it's pretty unfair for him to get blamed for all these rumors not getting executed. All these so-called insiders tend to float these things that frankly aren't very realistic to begin with and then Mitch gets blamed because nothing happened. Granted, you can blame him for not doing anything, but let's not say that he's not pulling in these trades that we don't know for sure even existed. |

That might have been the Mihm-Curry. Curry was a key free agent in the summer, so it was kind of a big deal. Lionel mentioned Mihm-Curry in July before it was ever on anyone's radar. In Oct. it was later found out from ESPN that the Lakers tried to swing a Mihm-Curry sign and trade, but Curry wanted more years than the Lakers were willing to give. |
