will add/edit as I remember more names, I know for a fact I've left some heavy hitters off. I read this site daily for tons of fun...thanks for being here |

their early work was a little too...new wave for my taste. when "Sports" came out in 83 I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically; the whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost

Lotta overlap with CMB:
Huey/Patsy
Bham, Dom
Dladi Vidac (a good lad, everyone's chum)
spflakers and CabinCrick (knowledgeable and solid cherms)
Kobe/Clifford & jodeke (men of honour)
Cuth, johnybravo (the poster AND Greg Brady's alter-ego)
superboy 1, 2, 3, 4... (be UN-reformed, mang, forego niceties)
I got tons of them in that list. I've known at least one name since asbnll.
kikanga, runway, encina, Dr. Laker, The Mule, even some of the mods(!). RG73 always posts are always well-reasoned, no fluff, no spam. There really is no one in Pat's list above who stand out to me as complete aholes, tbh. I enjoy interacting even in times where my POVs are in the minority (and they are currently in Gen, yowza.) We're a solid community.

Some great additions that I missed! Good call. Knew I had missed many, glad to see you guys add them.
Even some for the Temecula category
Good to hear about Sky. Always respected his opinion, even if I didn't agree, felt like he really was fair with his perspective. |

I'm thinking we need a bowling outing with the next great Laker center, Andrew Bynum. Assuming his underdeveloped lungs and mushy muscles are now good. |
Only if Rick12323131331331344433123 joins us, and if it's near an ATM. |
I'm not sure what was more entertaining, the Odom War or Bynum War.
The Lonzo and Lebron threads may stir up some emotions, but I don't know if they match some of those old classics. |
Those were arguments with some laughs. These are just straight out fights.
Did I ever tell you that Rick1233421321 got upset one day and reported me but instead of Report he clicked PM and the complaint came to me?
You can't beat that. |
That may generally true, but don't forget the infamous "LO is still 2nd dog on this team" thread - LINK
The whole thread is a trainwreck and worth the read - but I think page 8 has some nice internet tough guy nostalgia.
And lol, no, didn't know that story. Hey, end of the day, it's all in good fun, or at least, should be. |

Great list, old friend! Whenever I used to see your name / the Hail Ants avi, I made sure to take the time to read your posts. Always appreciated the humor, wit, and intellect, man.
A couple more shoutouts would be the video guys - cachooka man and LD2K. Really great stuff from them. |

The old days:
- shaqshoes always defending LO and Fish.
- the Kobe vs Shaq camps, VLF on the vanguard of the Shaq camp
- with every draft we would always get a "doberman" guard, and somehow we end up with someone like Smush Parker
- the mock drafts were always great
- the euphoria after the Gasol-Kwame trade
- "enemy fans" who regularly posted like MIB, and a Sixer fan I can't remember.
I wish someone would make an anthology of the best threads on LG. _________________ “Properly read, the bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.”

Yes, agree. I had a couple different accounts from way back, but lost the passwords and probably the original addresses (yahoo or hotmail or whatever). Wish my current join date reflected that. |

I’m bumping this to show appreciation again, especially as this site helped me in the last week just by being here and providing an outlet. There are so many amazing people and I’m just so thankful. It all starts with the owner, DB, just an awesome awesome person and so glad he’s running this great site. |

Thank you for being a great extended family for all these years. I was a young man in my 20's when I first started posting here, and now here I am in my 30's with a family at home, but the one constant that's always stayed the same is my unconditional love for this franchise.
Love and respect for LG, the greatest collection of fans on the planet and still the greatest place for Laker fans. I've learned so much from so many different minds throughout the years from this place. We've gone through so much together, the ups, the downs, the high points and celebrations...the magical moments we've shared...and the unfortunate events that have bestowed us.
But if there's one constant that has stayed true throughout the years, it's that I know I can come here and lean on you guys, differing opinions and all, and we can be a source of comfort, strength, and motivation for one another. We've seen the top of the mountain. We've been at the bottom of the barrel. All of you are my extended family, whether or not we know each other on a personal level doesn't matter. I just know that no other community has given me more moments of elation, sadness, anger, frustration, and ultimately, the feeling of togetherness.
Thank you LG.
