Apparently they are thanking Magic for the gift he handed them.

I'm interested to see how DLO plays next year after hopefully a huge contract.
Hoping it keeps Brooklyn in the dumps for years to come.

I wish Dlo the best, I wish all the players the best.

Same here. He didn’t screw us. We screwed him. Or at least tried to.

Why are we talking about a Nets player on the Lakers board when he has his own thread on another section of the site? Is it because the mods will never get over their love affair with Russell?

Obviously because you chose to

Someone also said they'd trade Bron for Russell and draft picks..

As much as I’m happy for Russell, it’s safe to say he won’t be better than Lebron James. Ever.

Give it two years.

Also, I think he meant DLO would be a better fit with our young core. If we do that trade we should also get Jarrett Allen and Spencer or LeVert

I dont think anyone is arguing that DLO or any of our young guys will be better than LeBron was in his prime or even now. However, I think some people think DLO is a better fit going forward with the young core as opposed to a 34 and above LeBron.

Remember, most NBA players dont age gracefully or slowly. Usually, injuries start hitting them or there is a drastic dropoff.

It sounds like a lot of people think Lebron got old instantly when he joined the Lakers.

Not instantly. But we probably had the best version of LeBron we'll ever have this season, and he looks to have slipped a bit from years past. At age 34, you can only expect that this will continue.

I would not say he has slipped. He has always been like this. I can do a video of his younger years and you will see that he has always been the same way.

Do you get a “someone might be praising or saying not-horrific things about LBJ” alerts?

Maybe, just maybe... its because we aren't talking about the playoffs thanks to Maginka's wonderful wheeling and dealing away of players like DLO, Randle, Zubac.

Either way, it’s not about Kuzma vs DLO. It’s more about how the front office has manage our young assets and the direction of the team. I really like DLO when he was here, mainly because he’s shown plenty of potential while here, and I’m happy he’s doing well in BKN. Personal I just hope management figures out what direction they are going with and commit to it and make smarter decisions this summer. Lakers can’t have another failed summer and preserve cap strategy again... it’s not working.

Magic's arse was still burning that Kupchak and Jim took DLO over Magic's pick of Okafor. Need proof? Magic making derogatory comments about DLO after the trade. Pathetic for any GM.

It was stupid to trade DLO prematurely and not give the backcourt to Ball and DLO for half a season to see what would happen.

35 yr old LeBron wont be any younger. Like most old players D is slipping and injuries are starting to pop up.

I think they mean overall; like have a better career than bron. Lebron is just getting older, so I don't think it is smart to say a young DLO won't be better this point moving forward.

I mean, I've watched LeBron play every season of his career. I feel safe in saying he's showing signs of physical decline. That's not really the same thing as cherrypicking bad moments over his career to make a video.
