Jimmy Butler might be a great plan B. He's proven he can average 24 a game with efficiency for a whole season, he's made several All Defensive teams, has great size (6-8, 235) for a 2, and he's clutch. He could be a great fit next to Lebron and take some of the load off him.

However, I keep hearing that Philly will make a great effort to keep him and Harris, and Philly has maybe the brightest future of any team if they resign both of them.

The problem with punting for AD is that we would have to renounce Ingram to have the cap space to sign him... We already lost Randle for nothing, we need to make things happen THIS summer... If Magic can’t make it happen he should be fired...

No more punting. If they do that again, I can't get emotionally invested into next season.

Build a damn team. If you need space for a max guy in 2020, make trades. No more 1-year deals.

Yeah but thing about Butler he’s not your average NBA character. He’s more than once did things outside of the ordinary. And as he’s best friends with Mark Wahlberg and one of the NBAs wine guys, I see him finding lots of appeal in LA, LeBron and the Lakers.

Plus I’m not even sure Philly will spend money on both Harris and Butler this summer if the team doesn’t make it to the finals at least this year.

We can’t punt this year anyways with Ingram becoming a free agent next summer. Have to spend the money now or will never have the assets to content for another 5-7 years.

<Bleep> any more punting. Enough of this stupidity.

Sign solid, non-superstar-HOF guys who can play both ends with smarts, effort, and reliable production and let's FINALLY build some depth and continuity by signing them to 2-4 year deals.

Sick of mercenaries and past their prime rentals.

Shoot, I'd be happy to get Randle back if we could so we have have a hard-charging, in-your face guy again to put muscle into our small-ball D again. I'd love to see BroLo back so we can see what this team would've/ should've looked like in the 1st place.

And NO MORE OVERPAID KLUTCH SPORTS CLIENTS on the team this year. We've overpaid KCP long enough.

Yes, yes, yes

I don't think punting is a possibility anymore with an aging LeBron on the team.

If we can't get a top FA, we have to at least get a GOOD player like Butler or Boogie, or make a trade.

We'd definitely have the worst defense in the league next season with LeBron and Cousins.

I don’t see any tea leafs pointing to Irving or Butler not coming, I’m sure Y01 is talking about the top top FAs like KD/Kawhi/Klay... all signs are pointing to us at least signing Jimmy Butler who doesn’t present the Impact the other FAs have but he is still a star.

What signs are these?

I’d rather punt than give Cousins a long term contract
