They are playing with house money at this point. A team that wasn't even supposed to be in the playoff conversation is now the 5th seed in the west and could still move further up. They have lots of draft picks and have a solid front office, this looks good for free agents.

Didnt think about it like this but it's very true. Unless big changes happen Lakers are going to be like the Cowboys where they live off the name and past accomplishments.
