I'd heard his songs for years but never bothered to learn who he was until I heard "Miserlou" at the start of Pulp Fiction. R.I.P. to a unique artist.

Legend and he had the rock star persona. Edgy personality, the man knew he was hot (bleep) and he was right. Last time I saw him was in the Metal Evolution series on the former VH1-C channel, ca. 2011. Unfort, that episode is copyright struck from YT or I would've linked it. He was still sharp as a razor even though he was long in the tooth at the time of filming.
