No wonder Auburn's been flying under radar. Starting five is juniors and seniors.

That was the fastest half I think I've ever seen. It lasted 35 minutes in real time. There was no TV timeout after the 7:03 mark on the game clock, and they never took the under-4 timeout. As a result, they extended halftime for 2 additional minutes.

Whatever Bruce Pearl told his team at halftime, it didn't work. Get it together, Tigers.

Complete and utter (bleep)!!!!!

This is why these end of game fouls are rarely called in the NBA when literally there’s only moments left in the game.

It’s literally the refs playing God & helping indicate possibly an opposite outcome.

Virginia basically got rewarded for playing like crap after being up 10 with 5 minutes to go.

All Auburn fans should be pissed off right now.

It was a clear foul at the end, but it shouldn't have ever had the opportunity to happen because there was an even more clear and undebatable double dribble on Virginia. If they make that call, it's Auburn's ball with something like 3 seconds left and, at worst, they are shooting a 1-and-1.

I can understand fans not automatically knowing that this is the call that should be made in the moment. But officials need to automatically realize it. So they missed that call and then made, yes, a ballsy call against Auburn at the end. Auburn got hard done by, as they might say in the UK.

I didn’t see the double dribble but it was a foul that affected the shot.

There's no question that it was a double dribble. He dribbled it off his own foot--it wasn't knocked away by the defender--and then he went back to get it, put both hands on the ball, and started a new dribble. It happened so fast that I didn't catch it live and I'm sure most people didn't. But as an official, you have to know that it's a double dribble. I mean, that's why you're an official lol.

If they call that correctly, Auburn almost certainly wins. And they had a dead-ball whistle to check for the timing of the foul, so it's a shame that such a call isn't reviewable there. They review so many things, so why not a play like that?

Call it what you wish....the NCAA could not have Auburn winning the national championship. They did not want to have to take down another banner....and yes, this season for Auburn was likely all for nothing. The media has tried to make everyone forget that Auburn and Pearl are still tied up in this FBI scandal....and to this point, Pearl has refused to even answer questions to his own administration....claiming the FBI investigation as an excuse.

I don't think the officials were "on the take" or anything like that. I mean, Auburn was up 4 with 7 seconds left. If Virginia doesn't put in a desperation 3, the game's over right there. It's not like they were calling Auburn for fouls all game to ensure that Virginia won. They just missed a call, unfortunately for Auburn, that almost certainly would have changed the result of the game.

who would have predicted a Texas Tech team with a coach with 3 years experience as a head coach....starting 3 grad transfers would be one game from a National Championship.....

everyone counts out Texas Tech each round....people always name them as the team that is lucky to be here each round....yet they are the only team that has not even had a close call...

1st Round - beat Northern Kentucky by 15 points.
2nd Round - beat Buffalo by 20 points.
Sweet 16 - beat Michigan by 19 points.
Elite 8 - beat Gonzaga by 6 points.
Final 4 - beat Michigan State by 10 points.

Currently, KenPom rates their defense as the best ever.....ever!

fyi.....the last team to beat Texas Tech? West Virginia University 79-74 March 14th.

I haven’t watched this year but he looked impressive tonight. Is that the norm?

he has been a good rim protector this year....this is his first year (and last) @ Tech....he was a Grad Transfer from St. Johns. He originally started out as a Freshman at Tennessee.

They both look like teams of destiny. Both playing like they got nothing to lose. It’s going to come down to coaching as usual. I’m rooting for VA, but both deserve to put on a show Monday. Great tourney.

As bad as I feel about Michigan St. losing, the guy who was leading the Million Dollar Bracket Challenge yesterday must feel a lot worse. He also had the Spartans making it to the Final.

I don't know who will win, but after this title game, everyone is going to be complaining that college basketball is a bad product, boring, broken, etc. and the discussion will be how do we improve college basketball.

Go Texas Tech.

why do you think that? I thought everyone has been talking about how great the games have been since the Elite 8.

The Over/Under for tomorrows final is 118.....that is extremely low even for these two defensive teams in my opinion. Virginia is averaging 66 points per game in the tournament, while only putting up 53 is that Oregon game....and Texas Tech is averaging 70 points per game in the tournament.

If I bet on college basketball, I would be hitting the Over.

**UVA opens as a 1 point favorite.
