will never understand how Iowa State always seems to play at a high level in the Big12 Tournament....but never carries it into the NCAA tournament.

Feel bad for Magee and the 0-12 from three. He makes just a couple of those, they probably win.

Saw a tweet that he is a 29% career 3-point shooter in "tier 1" competition NCAA games, and 45% in all other games, which were the vast majority of his games, of course.

This is why he will go undrafted.

De'Aaron Fox tweets about one of the reasons why I dislike the college product:

running out of legit "Cinderella" options for the Sweet 16.....I define a "Cinderella" as a mid major with a bottom half bracket seeding (#9-#16) and do not have a history of recent tournament success......that make it to the Sweet 16.

- Murray State (FSU)
- UCF (Duke)
- Liberty (Va. Tech)
- UC Irvine (Oregon)

History says it is likely at least 2 of these teams win their next game. It feels like UC Irvine has solid odds....and maybe Murray State?

FSU is a much more dangerous team than I think most realize....when they are clicking on offense, they can beat anyone.

Gonzaga-FSU should be fun. I agree with FSU is legit, and I think the Zags are actually the 2nd-best team, behind Duke. (I picked North Carolina over the Zags with the #2 pick in my annual draft because UNC is on the other side of the bracket; we'll see how that works out.)

If Kansas can get Auburn's lead down to about 10 with a minute left, they'll have them right where they want them!

I just think it would be difficult to game plan against FSU for a couple reasons....first, they really do not have a clear #1 option. Mann is their "leader" but he is not the leading scorer each night. Actually their leading scorer on the season is not even starting....Kabengele comes off the bench. Second, they are long and athletic across the board, and they can defend. It seems to often come down to if their shots are falling.

FSU and Gonzaga has the potential to be the type of game the costs both of them.....the winner could expend so much that they run out of steam 2 nights later in the Elite 8.

Personally, I would like to see Hamilton get to the Final Four.

Can't believe how much stronger Tacko Fall looks than when we worked him out.

Tacko Fall. He might mess around and sneak into the last 1st round or early 2nd. He's pretty mobile for a 7'6'' guy too.

unreal respect for Tacko....when he showed up at UCF, he was more of a sideshow....and dude has turned himself into a real college basketball player....kid is extremely smart

from his Wikipedia page....

Fall is a devout Muslim. He maintained a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) in high school, while taking advanced mathematics and science classes. He became fluent in English within 8 months and scored in the 95th percentile on the SAT.

Pretty much getting him in foul trouble is the only way to stop him. He looks like a monster compared to everyone else.

he usually does not have foul trouble....averages less than 3 a game....but teams usually avoid going right at him. I think he was a little too emotional to start this game.

Game has opened up for Duke now that Tacko is spending a lot of time on the bench.
