I don't know who will win, but after this title game, everyone is going to be complaining that college basketball is a bad product, boring, broken, etc. and the discussion will be how do we improve college basketball.

Go Texas Tech.

why do you think that? I thought everyone has been talking about how great the games have been since the Elite 8.

Because of the slow pace and lack of scoring. It's two elite defensive teams who play at a snails pace and it's going to be first to 40 wins. Just a guess.

watched the Women's Final Four Championship tonight....wow, it was a great game. Baylor was clearly the better team, but once their best player Lauren Cox went out of the game with a knee injury in the 3rd Quarter, Notre Dame came back and made it close, even taking the lead for a minute.....but Baylor pulled out the win.

NIT Men's Champion - Texas
NCAA Women's Champion - Baylor
Texas Tech will try to complete the major college basketball triple crown tomorrow for the Big12.

I watched the last 4 minutes or so. Notre Dame kept getting the benefit of the whistle to stay alive at the FT line; they didn't score a basket in the time that I was watching.

yeah, they did not score a FG over the last 4 minutes....but right before that, they had a huge comeback. Notre Dame's Marina Mabrey hit 3 straight 3 pointers to tie the game with about 5 minutes left.

I am not one of those guys that feels compelled to say the WNBA or Womens College Basketball is a good product.....I know that is en vogue right now to claim.....but if womens college basketball could ever get 30ish programs on or near the level of 4 or 5 (UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Oregon, South Carolina, etc.) right now....combined with the natural loyalties that a college fan base has built in....they would be onto something.

Just read that Kim Mulkey is only the third coach in women's D1 history to win 3 championships or more, behind the obvious names of Auriemma and Summitt. Pretty impressive, especially when you consider that Mulkey is also the only person in history to win championships as a player, assistant coach, and head coach.

The Over/Under for tomorrows final is 118.....that is extremely low even for these two defensive teams in my opinion. Virginia is averaging 66 points per game in the tournament, while only putting up 53 is that Oregon game....and Texas Tech is averaging 70 points per game in the tournament.

If I bet on college basketball, I would be hitting the Over.

**UVA opens as a 1 point favorite.

I do not see how they overturned that call to give the ball to UVA....and Guy clearly fouled him before Hunter even knocked it out of bounds.

I think what really killed Tech was Beard and Culver seemed to want Culver to be the hero over the last 6 minutes....and he kept forcing crap up and Tech quit getting good shots. There was a couple other guys on Tech that tried to be heroes late in the game that cost them.

I actually dread this week....the media loves Tony Bennett, and they are going to put him on such a pedestal. Maybe he is a good guy in reality, but every time I have seen the guy outside of an prepare media appearance, he has came off as a total ass in my opinion. The difference has always lead me to believe he is a fraud and the "good guy" persona is a media creation. His father is a world class (bleep).

That replay review was insane, still can't believe they overturned that (was rooting hard for Texas Tech, though). Like, really? Slo-mo, pixelated video with a bad angle? I just don't get it. If it takes that long, that's not what replay is for.

I was on the Beard bandwagon, but was not impressed tonight. Defensively, they gambled and pressured too much, and allowed drive after drive in the half court instead of just being solid. Their offense was non-existent, bad ISO after bad ISO. Not one good play out of a timeout. Culver could not do (bleep) against Hunter (besides that nice lefty finish to go up 1 late).

Up 3, the awful help off the shooter in the corner (who was on fire all 2nd half no less) and give up the 3. Went up 3 in OT and took terrible hero shots, couldn't get rebounds, fouled and sent them to the line, didn't even make UVA make shots. Brutality.

I was wrong, that was a great game. Props to UVA. They made a lot of tough shots.

as they have said all tournament....Virginia has needed and received divine intervention to advance each round....and in Charlottesville, they spell god "R-E-F".

Texas Tech didn't close it out when they had it won in regulation. Especially after they wiped off a 10 point deficit.

I for one am glad this college basketball season is officially over.....it has not been a fun one for me personally.

WVU's record is back to 0 - 0!

I thought the ball went off the Virginia defender who slapped it away but I guess they went off how the video looked like that Texas Tech player had his finger on the ball before it went out of bounds.

Thank you Chronicle. Like a roller coaster ride, ups and downs, twists and curves, but just like a roller coaster, always fun.

Congrats to you on moving up the ranks from 17th to 5th!
