True..

So Embiid was drafted before Okafor but was injured.
Zo would be drafted before this year's pick and has been injured.
Is that what you guys mean? Zo is the PG of the future but we need to draft one more PG to make it happen?

That's some crazy voodoo stuff you guys are into.

I'd obviously listen.

They were right with Dlo and right with Zo. Garland comes and isn't a hall of fame performer in his rookie year and you'll be back saying we still looking for pg of the future. You guys wanna skip development, and give up on picks so damn easy. Having said that, Zo is versatile and can play with Darius. Stop labeling them point guards, call them what Mitch used to say, ball handling guards. Whoever is near ball gets it and go.

Ironically enough, considering the thread title at least... they have a great long-term PG in Fox.

PS: I'm happy with Zo, not sure how long I'll stay happy if he doesn't fix his shot tho!

Kuz is still young...Covington is a career 13 ppg scorer better defender ....I see a lot more up side in Kuz while Covington is who he is. My opinion.

Covington is basically a wing version of Brandon Clarke with all of the stock rates to prove it.

That kind of defense at wing is so incredibly valuable.

Ill trade 2 Kuzmas for a Covington all day every day

Lakers would be stupid to trade Ball. With that being said it wouldn't surprise me if they did

are you being serious? an injury-prone/slow recovering PG who CAN'T SHOOT for his life. i don't care how good a passer he is, if you can't shoot in this league today and you can't stay on the court, then your value isn't that good. i seriously doubt chicago and phx will trade their lotto pick for Zo straight up.

At least we got a few months without asinine Zo hate. I was naive for expecting it to last longer than that

But the original poster wanted to also include cap space and the #4 pick too.

Dlo is an all star, they weren't wrong. It takes time. You trade Lonzo to draft another rookie PG, ya'll gonna still be whining because development doesn't happen over night.

Why can't just go in the draft thread? Don't like 2 places to talk about the same thing.

Also haven’t found a center either.

Sad that two of those picks are contributing on their teams. But at least they still have “cap space “ . He’s damn good!

Zo is elite at defense and pushing the pace. When Zo's shot becomes trustworthy, all you need is a 2 guard that can run a 1/2 court offense next to him - Like Dlo does for the Nets.

This is for Darius Garland:

Notes: Measured 5'11.75 without shoes, 6'0.5 with shoes, 135 lbs, with a 6'1 wingspan and 7'8 standing reach at the 2014 USA Junior National Team Mini Camp

They say he's 6'3 now...but how much longer is his wingspan? If we keep this pick the guy has to be the real deal. The more I look the more I like Hunter (motor) maybe Culver or even the big man from Texas. 6'11 with a 7'4 wingspan.

Same height as Curry. +2 wingspan as Curry at 6'5"

Since we comparing his weight/wingspan to Curry, how do their college careers and stats compare?

They don't really, because Curry had 3 years, while Garland really had just 4 games and 5 minutes into his 5th game.

I will say their archetypes and trajectories are very similar in terms of development.

Can you comment of Garland’s defense? That’s the one thing really holding me back on him. The footage looks depressing.

Why? They're all bad defenders.

Who is “they?”

Curry, Dame, Murray, etc.

Pretty damn difficult to be another Fultz. You would need mental issues, and shooting mechanics issue. I think it'll be awhile before you see something as bizarre as that again. Someone who is consensus #1, then have total break down in the NBA.

Too much shoe $$ on the line to risk sitting out a year.

I didn't mean play like fultz I meant over hyped like fultz was.

Fultz was considered a top prospect, but yet the only team his team beat were sub par team's. He had great numbers but that was in losing games. If you are a star you should atleast give your team good quality wins atleast 2 times. He got none
