Former Dodger David Ross is expected to be named the next manager of the cubs, following a recent trend of former players with little to no managing experience being handed the reigns.

A bad outing tonight and Verlander will be 0-5 with an ERA over 5 in the World Series.

If the Nationals have the lead into the 6th inning, let's say, and if Strasburg is nearing removal due to pitch count and/or ineffectiveness, I wonder if Dave Martinez uses Corbin again and just goes for it, even though that would push him back to a Game 4 start. Kind of like what I speculated about before the series. With the way Sanchez has pitched, I wonder if that's what their plan might be tonight, if the chance to take a 2-0 series lead presents itself. They can't feel confident in any relievers besides Doolittle and Hudson, and if they could win this game from using 4 pitchers (Strasburg, Corbin, Hudson, and Doolittle), I think that's what they may do.

^ I would do it if I were him. It's worked so far. All these ballsy managers seem to bet big and win big lately.

The Nats are on a heater. At the absolute perfect time. And it should be noted that their bats were pretty much silent for almost 5 postseason games until Kershaw's relief appearance.
