How valuable is DLO compared to the guys we kept? What does this say about the benefit of holding onto youth who have shown flashes of great potential? Why should be hemorrhage our future to appease the short term agendas of Magic, Rob, LeBron, and Kobe?

well thats easy. DLO may end up being the better of all 3 but their combined value easily exceeds him. Also those 3 are still on rookie contracts while DLO is already getting paid this summer

They have their PG of the future but DLO could play SG.

Yeah come one... this is a silly thread.

If injuries never happened, there's a high chance we're all watching our team jockeying for playoff positions while LeBron is dominant and our kids our looking really good.

ehh, I am hopeful Ingram can take a similar leap next year like DLo did this season....but right now, none of our young guys are on DLo's level....not even really close. Last night DLo demonstrated he can literally put a team on his back and win a against a solid team. That was a flash of #1 option level stuff.

It was difficult watching that game and realizing DLo and Fox could be our backcourt for the next decade.

The Warriors offered KD and a protected 1st for Dlo. The Nets said no.

Agreed and TBH I don't even watch the DLO highlights for that reason. I was one of the most angry when Magic foolishly dumped him. But not having Russell is still super upsetting and Russell/Fox would have been insane.

Personally, I think all 3 of our guys have room for growth. I think Ingram before his blood clot was showing as much as DLO is right now but was just doing it in a different way. Lonzo showed flashes of really great play before he went down and Kuzma just needs to be efficient and hopefully average on D. Collectively, they have more value than DLO. Individually, I'd rank like this: 1) Russell 2) BI 3) Kuzma 4) Lonzo is how I think most GM's would perceive value.

I am super high on Ingram...and may have agreed with you before last night....Ingram has to show me something like what DLo did last night for me to put him on that level. it is not about the boxscore....it is about being down 25 points in the 4th Quarter to a solid team, and basically having the cajones to tell his team....just follow me.....and the ability to deliver.

Until the front office shows any tiny hint of remorse or regret for their moves or attempted moves this season?

BI and DLO should be on the same level very soon. BI was playing like an All-Star before the DVT.

Ball if healthy could be an elite player. Both sides of the court. He probably would have made 1st Team All-Defense if not for the injury. Magic seems to have him all but traded, but I think it would be a mistake of epic proportions.

Kuzma is found money. Good scorer on a great contract.

DLO (RFA by the way) - All Star and a good shooter and playmaker.

DLO wouldn’t have been an All-Star in the West. The media and other teams would be under-rating him if he was on the Lakers as well.

To me, those three players combine would be the better trade. But DLO has come into his own and I hope it makes Magic every bit as sick as it makes Lakers DLO fans.

If BI can maintain the same level of play after the surgery, he's a keeper.

That DVT done (bleep) things up for us.
