Penny was one of the few touted big PG's that actually had natural PG skills and flourished at the position. Could he play a role similar to Harper for us?

I'd offer him the minimum, and nothing more. Isn't he banged up right now?

Penny's done, rehabbing in Houston as we speak, Spree is more likely at this point.

Well, Mitch and Phil did mention they're looking to pick up a veteran guard. Penny is a guard, and he's as veteran as they get. They do have the $1.8 million vet. minimum to offer. I don't see how it could hurt.

The re-animated corpse of Wilt Chamberlain?

Zombie Wilt could probably put up better numbers than Kwame...

Penny is a solid pro if able to play, big upgrade to Vujacic or McKie at that position.

Spree would be good also.

Seriusly though, if he does indeed get waived, and we can get him at Vet Min, it would be a good move.

I'd agree, vet min. and I wouldn't mind him.

I don't wanna give up player + pick, or a 1st-rounder though.

Not for DA anyhow
