Rob Gronkowski has tweeted that he is retiring. I’m sure that a year long celebration will ensue.

Sad. His body took a beating. Glad he got his ring on the way out.

Good. No longer a temptation to waste a high fantasy pick on him only to see him sit out half the season injured. Fantasy relevant tight ends are a dying breed.

The greatest tight end in history, in my mind. Good for him. Let that body heal. Dude took a tremendous beating over the years. Before last season, there was no real drop-off in performance, either.

I am a known Patriots hater, and I have nothing but respect for this dude.

This just means he has more time to film Tide Pod commercials.

Only good guy on New England. Always respected the dude for partying hard and still being able to perform. He earned pretty much every accolade, so nothing really left to prove.

Not a Pats fan at all, but a ton of respect to this guy.

A complete beast at his position, champion and did it with a good attitude.

Props to him, Hall of Famer for sure.

Respect his skill/ability. Dirty as hell, but it's Football so … whatever. Wish he was on my team for his career.

Hope Boston really misses him!
