I really hope none of the above mentioned. They are all bad coaches and not better than Luke.
But if I really need to choose one than Lue. At least LBJ likes him. |

If these were the only options , I'd prefer to go head coach-less. |

With those options, I'd keep Luke. IF the FO had listened to
Luke we would have had LeBron, Lopez & Randle along with
plenty of the rookies and some of the Vets around them.
IMO, that would have been a different outcome. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

I heard a rumor through the grapevine that Kobe is actually thinking about being an assistant coach, if there is a coaching change, particularly if Coach K, who isn't being talked about in the news reports, however my sources are saying that, there is at least a mutual interest that Coach K would listen to the front office if they would be willing to talk about it. _________________ Hambuger! I have never seen someone more decisive about their decision to retire. Kobe is not coming back in a role with the Lakers in any way whatsoever. Sure he'll keep in touch and help out when he can but he's not coming back in any official role with the team. |

I can't imagine Kobe giving up coaching his daughter, teaching them and watching them grow up to travel everyday and be a cog in the wheel on the bench |

There is the possibility if it's the right preference at coach _________________ Hambuger! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast |

Yes to Gentry, I would be excited if we hired him. |

Draft will be rigged to get Zion to the Lakers. Coach K follows Zion. Profit. |

You must have some inside info, cause Luke is getting fired after the season, excuses are for Clipper fans not Laker fans. | wait IG, so its an excuse and a not a legit reason when you have this many guys hurt and two main cogs out for the season? IG, did you check the last few games? we are playing with d league guys out there. you cant put that on luke. |

Give luke LBJ and another star and if he messes that up, fire him on the spot. if they get to the playoffs and go out in flames and get swept because of mentally being weak. Fire him on the spot. but if that does not happen, keep luke around. |

Hopefully Mark Few, Bill Self or Shaka Smart. Tired of the same retreads and nba coaching carousel. Or get a great assistant from a successful team 🤷🏼♂️ |

Mark Jackson is the obvious choice, I would bet money that if he coached this team, just this current team as is, they would have made it to playoffs.
Mark had a young team that he took to the playoffs in his second season as GSW Head coach, with Steph, Klay, Draymond and a few vets to round out a very young core. Just imagine what he would have done with this Lakers young core and a Top Player in LBJ.
With his previous experience, he would have known exactly what to do with them. Plus I think it would be some poetic justice for next year with Klay as a FA if we could get him to the Lakers, not lose any of our core and simply trade or add a big man maybe DeAndre Jordan.
Ball + Klay + LBJ + Kuz + Jordan
Rondo + Hart + BI + (FA PF ) + McGee
The Starters and Rotation on this team will be much better in terms of experience and poise. This team would be primed for a hard playoff push and give us multiple players who other teams have to game plan for in, Klay/LBJ/Kuz.
I say Mark Jackson all the way! |
