Kwame Brown, best known as the flop of a No. 1 pick in the 2001 NBA draft for Michael Jordan’s Wizards, was arrested Saturday night in Georgia on a felony possession of edible marijuana products and misdemeanor possession of less than one ounce of weed.
This country is constantly bombing innocents and killing our own citizens by prioritizing military spending over medical care, and yet they jail people for possession of weed.

what are you guys talking about....this would have got him the same result in California a few years ago. It is not legal in Georgia.....it was not a big secret kept from Kwame. You can think it should be legal....but acting like Georgia is suddenly the f'ing Gestapo is disingenuous at best.

Along with Florida and Kansas
Alcohol is 1000x more dangerous in my opinion.
ok, and maybe the cop that arrested him feels the exact say way....but there are still only 10 states that allow recreational use currently. Georgia is not the outlier....it is the norm. There are probably many laws in California that I do not agree with.....but it would be ignorant of me to visit there, not obey them, then conclude California is the problem.
Kwame earned about $64 million in his NBA career, getting contracts from seven different NBA franchises. Given where he was drafted and his immense physical gifts, saying he didn't reach his potential. But I wouldn't call him a bust. There was a point where he was the best post defender in the league.

You're correct that California is not the problem. They are a solution
Georgia did not put the weed in Kwames hands.. this is true.
I personally think putting someone in prison for using or possessing a drug such as marijuana to be a heinous act against the whole of humanity. A crime far rivaling that of the possession itself
Can you imagine being black and getting the stop and search. You got some weed. Now you lost your job/wife/child/family because they put you in prison for 10 year sentence for marijuana.. The family and child suffer .. the school system suffers because the child is a problem having lost parents etc..
Georgia and the other 40 states should be taken to task for this.
Felony marijuana convictions are the crime.. not the possession.
Have you seen how many children have had their lives saved by marijuana? CBD.. non psychoactive.. but all the other true benefits without the addiction and harmful side effects.. (bleep), you can grow it yourself.. Thank you God!

It's truly f*cking tragic and ridiculous.
Lol, there are things called laws. They are not all correct In my opinion either, but as a citizen it is your duty to understand them and follow them.
If this country and it’s laws are not to your liking
1) overthrow the government and install your own
2) vote and hope things change over a long period of time
3) Leave
If socialism is your thing, pick #3 and move...despite all of the noise from the left wing most Americans aren’t with you. I’m a proud American and Kwame broke a law, sorry if you aren’t proud of our country and what it’s afforded you. Nobody is forcing you to stay.
