Crazy how when people think about FO they just automatically blame Magic but RP is just as much to blame.

They constructed the worst possible team this past off-season next to LBJ who needs shooters, high-energy guys (rebounds, hustles, etc), and doesn't need the ball to be effective. Instead we sign the opposite and look where we're at.

Didn't get West to consult/mentor him. Ego-based mistake and a huge one, at that.

Yeah, the roster construction is horrifically bad.

Both pelinka and magic are way too green to run a team. If I were Jeanie I would keep pelinka as a contract negotiating number cruncher fire magic and do anything and everything to get Jerry west back

You can't coach Lebron. He has never played in a system and never will. The way you win with Lebron is get a closer for him and 3 & D players. That's why Davis won't work. Lebron sucks with bigs. It's Kawhi or bust. Maybe Kyrie if he actually decides to take basketball seriously.

Same thing with kobe during the mike brown era despite having messina and snyder on the staff: a tiger can't change his stripes.

Kobe and Lebron play a certain way and it has led to success throughout their career. You're not going to change that this late.

Magic bungled the offseason team construction, but he deserves a chance to fix his mess this summer and hire the coach he desires. This summer is the FO's most important.

The clippers and the spurs are able to contend for the playoffs without a top tier player like lebron.

I agree with this but from what they've shown so far, it's not looking very pretty.

No! Do not give him any more chances. He will completely destroy this team just like he did with the zubac trade. Mark my words if we keep magic at the helm we will slowly turning into the Knicks of the early 2000

That’s because Doc and Popvich are world class coaches compared to Luke.

Kings, too.

Crazy that Vlade freakin Divac is better at this than our front office.

Agreed. Magic and Rob still have a chance to make up for their (bleep) roster construction and the disastrous way they handled the AD negotiations. If they can't make up for those enormous missteps this summer, then it's time to step aside.

Magic has to deliver a top tier superstar or its game over.

Magic can be a positive asset to have in the FO if his basketball related powers are reigned in a bit. He can be the charismatic talking head and the face of the organization when it comes to recruiting other stars but someone else needs more pull to do the heavy lifting behind the scenes to prevent stuff like trading Zu for nothing or reaching on Mo Wagner when there were better prospects available.
