David Griffin
Sam Hinkie
Ryan West?

I’m leaning towards Griffin

Sam Hinkie is done with basketball from what I remember and the league would probably stop anyone from hiring him anyways.

Griffin will probably be the most talked about name before rumors start popping up.

I like Griffin too.

Has built a championship team around LeBron.

Might also improve our chances of getting Kyrie.

No it hasn’t. I believed she went after Logo and Riley before Magic.

Pat Riley can also be an option if he wants to comeback to the Lakers.

Pelinka needs to go also.
He brought nothing to the table.
He is an agent, who is the opposite of who you want to run a team.

A tough guy. Who can make the hard decisions.
And who looks at the big picture.
Prefer not a former big star but a person who can build an organization.

They are hard to find.

Hopefully Kobe

I think he'll be able to recruit a star in free agency

Not sure who is available to answer. Needs to be a legit guy running the team. Hopefully Jeannie seeks advice on this one and doesn't do it from gut instincts. She hired Magic as she trusted him and needed short term help. Now she has a real issue to address and needs the right guy.

Plan A - Reach out to Jerry West offer VP title and if he comes on board Ryan will be promoted GM

Plan B - If no Jerry then clean house, bring in David Griffin who has a history with LBJ and an understanding of what works.

Secret Plan - Reach out to Pat Riley!

Basketball ops has to ultimately answer to ownership, so ultimately, someone has to act on behalf of ownership. I'd like to see West come back, install good people (maybe Grif), and groom Jesse to take West's spot.

Any idea for candidates? God know Jeanie wont be able to come up with anybody competent on her own. It will likely be back to her rolodex of Laker player wih no experience.
