Magic quit so that he wouldn’t be fined for tampering. He is now able to talk to KL and AD right now and tell them to come to LA without any trouble

Just hear me out…
Lawyers: does anyone know if a consultant agreement would have a mutual termination clause which would allow either party to get out of the contract at any time? If yes, then what IF Jeanie gave Ryan the green light to discuss the job offer with Jerry over family dinner (how do you prove tampering)? And what if Jerry was interested so she goes to the NBA and gets the ok to make this work behind the scenes with the understanding that nothing go public until the Clips are out of the playoffs? Balmer and Doc don’t like it but have to respect the Logo and understanding that Jerry is going “home” to groom Ryan to take over in a few years. It’s the consultant vs team employee angle that has me wondering if it’s more amenable to the NBA to go along with it. I know it’s crazy but just what if?!?!?!? |

Yes, or it can be a 30 day termination option, or whatever the parties agree to.

This assumes that the West family would play along with something like this. But sure, this could happen.

This is more of a conspiracy theory than a legal question. More likely, Jerry would go to Ballmer and say, "This is what I want to do, but I don't want it to go public while we're still in the playoffs. I wouldn't do that to you." Ballmer is a businessman, and he would likely respect that. |

"People" say things they don't know for sure. I doubt this kind of stuff would leak. Its a bunch of BS....don't believe it. First off, Presti is under contract and with his team still, the same goes for Monty. Its a bit premature for this "Cuff" dude to be assuming this. I will pretty much assume both are NOT coming just based on the fact this dude is just making up crap. |

Didn't Ramona then also effectively say that she knows nothing because the Lakers FO is silent right now? 
Not saying I believe any of the BS, but my personal opinion is that Ramona generally says whatever Jeannie tells her to. |

Exactly, another couple dudes that don't know sh*t. Now there are reports today that the Lakers are not replacing Magic and just keeping Rob running the show which would be, without a doubt, the biggest dumb sh*t move by Jeanie and would be catastrophic.
So, in other words, who do you believe?
